"Dont judge a book by the cover. . The area around was industrial with a lot of car show rooms on a main road. Google maps showed the canal and River but you cant see these. HOWEVER, the welcome was warm and friendly. Between my poor French and the receptionist's broken English, we understood each other! The hotel was clean and tidy. There was a lovely court yard garden, with the rooms around. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast was plentiful , fresh and delicious. We were able to sit outside. We arrived on motorbikes, and immediately we were shown an area to park under a security camera. There were at least 3 restaurants within walking distance. As we left, all the staff were cleaning and all said goodbye."

"It really was a beautiful and charming medieval property, but with all the modern comforts. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe. Being greeted by the smell of baking, every time I came back, was glorious! The bakery team were also, really friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for having me Madam Troppi! You were kind and hospitable. "
