  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

The bed for the Basic room is hard. Shower head is leaking when turn on. Other than those issues, place is clean, staffs were very courteous and helpful. Location is great. Breakfast buffet was included in the stay and it was good. Simple but done nicely, It has your own self-service laundry which is bonus and you can access their K lounge where they do the breakfast for some coffee/tea and snacks.

This is a wonderful value for central Taipei. The hotel is clean and spacious. The amenities provided are really five star and very premium branded like Panasonic, Toto, Nespresso. The standard room with windows is so comfortable and includes a mini living room area, almost like a suite! Very generously sized for Taipei. Lastly, the staff are all very polite and go the extra mile to make guests comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here!

Wonderful room and facilities, except no parking or exercise room. Staff were friendly and professional. About two city blocks from the nearest MRT station. Although seems to be in a business area, many food options and nearby attractions.

Front desk staff was very nice and helpful with directions and access to public transportation. Room cleaning staff were so friendly and efficient; our room was cleaned by the time we came back from breakfast! Also, the room had a premium coffee machine and electronic toilet. Only downside with room was the only window opened into a stairwell.

Very friendly and supportive staff. Convenient spot to the attractions of Taipei. There is one huge drawback is that the speed of the Wi-fi is unreasonably slow. Appreciate if this could be improved. This is a 4.5 stars hotel. Across streets are bakeries and coffee shops to several restaurants. MRT only 8 minutes away. The staffs at front desk and restaurant are pleasant and helpful. The breakfast were tasty and fresh with different dishes every morning. Only one thing like to see improvement is the carpet in the room needs clean and vacuum every morning. We still enjoyed our 9 days stayed and planning on coming back to this hotel.

The KHotel Chang An was the best hotel experience we had while travelling through Taiwan on vacation over several weeks! Our standout stay was based on the outstanding service provided by hotel staff.Penny and Corgi were especially helpful and attentive but all staff deserve recognition,from checkin to checkout.Room was very comfortable, clean with a nice view of the main street outside.location was safe, convenient to MRT, restaurants & shopping. Breakfast room was spacious & bright with tasty food(Chinese& some western, espresso/latte machine, mochi,etc.). Nice way to start the day. We will definitely be back and recommending to friends & family.

The property is located in a convenient area of Taipei, about a 10 min walk to the local MRT station (Songjiang-Nanjing). There is convenient shopping and lots of restaurants nearby. There are 2 7-11's and a Family Mart on the same block as the hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful. The property is clean but does show signs of aging and wear. Carpets in the main areas are stained, as are some of the carpet areas in the rooms (such as in front of the refrigerator), but they do not smell. All of the in-room appliances are working properly. The bathroom is clean but shows signs of aging and use. The hotel provides a lot of extra bathroom amenities including extra toothbrushes, a hair dryer, soaps, shampoos and personal supplies. The rooms are quiet and neighbor-noise was not ever noticed. The breakfast buffet is great. There are options for American, Chinese and Japanese flair. The variety changes on most days to offer some new dishes. There are cereals, breads with spreads, milk and juices, hot coffee, fresh fruit, and hot dishes including eggs, meats, vegetables and rice. The hotel is a solid 3-star as far as condition and room arrangement, but the in-room amenities and breakfast buffet are more practical than some 4- and 5-star locations I have stayed. I do not utilize any on-site fitness, spa or swimming facilities when staying at hotels, so the lack of these facilities was not any concern.
