The Space:
Tallarook Hilltop Tiny House 3 by Tiny Away sits on a stunning hilltop, offering sweeping Northeast views, plus clear sights over the Goulburn Valley. It’s a great stop for travellers coming from NSW or workers needing easy, reliable accommodation. Nearby spots like the Tallarook Hotle and Murchison Gap Lookout are also popular with our guests.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to clean rainwater to bathe and drink. Split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This tiny house sits near our main homestead so please expect others to be around, including cars and farm machinery.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to tiny home and surrounding areas, excluding the host’s private residence and farm sheds. The following pre-order and activities are available with 24 hrs notice:
- Fresh eggs come at an extra cost of $7 for (6) eggs
- Firewood comes at an extra cost of $20 for (10) pieces
- Pick-ups and drop-offs in Tallarook can be arranged with host 24 hours in advance and depending on staff availability
- Feeding the farm animals and fishing in the property's rivers may be available, but due to the unpredictable nature of farm life and seasonal conditions, guests must inquire in advance if these activities are important to their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Tallarook Hilltop Tiny House 3 by Tiny Away is located on the outskirts of a small town, Tallarook, just an hour's drive from Melbourne. Our farm stay sits on the doorstep to some of the region's top attractions, including the Tallarook State Forest, Trawool Estate, and Mitchelton Wine.

Getting Around:
The property is located 100km from Melbourne’s CBD, which is only one hour's drive by car via the Hume Highway.
Tallarook is on the Seymour line which leaves the regional area of Southern Cross Railway Station almost hourly.
The Tallarook State Forest is approximately one hours drive North from Melbourne CBD.
Other Things to Note:
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Outdoor firepit is available, except total fire bans
- Please do not cross over the other side of the fence
- Please be advised that we have free-roaming dogs on site
- Expect some animal and tractor noise as we are a working farm
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that there may be other guests on-site you may see and pass by them when roaming
- The roads traveling to and from the property are suitable for all vehicles, please aware the roads can be steep and rocky but all cars will manage fine
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
