Top Tangier Hotel Reviews

Rodeway Inn at Somers Cove Marina
6/10 Okay
"Average overall"

Onley Inn
4/10 Poor
"Water smelled. Room smelled. Sheets smelled like they were never washed. Bed cover was musty. Toilet had poop residue… not worth it"

The Charlotte Hotel & Restaurant
6/10 Okay
"Let's start with the good. Great location. Now the rest. The check-in was as follows: open unlocked front door, see an envelope with your name on it, follow the instructions presented in the envelope, climb two steep staircases, go to room our assigned that (like the front door) not locked, get room key hanging from a hook on the wall in the room. (My wife said that if see was alone she would have left, not know if someone unexpected, would be in her room. There was no one else in the building to hear if she screamed. There is three hour parking out front. We asked a stranger where we could park overnight, (turned out there is a lot around the corner). This hotel advertises a bar and restaurant, but both were closed. Fortunately, there is a great Pub across the street. I wouldn't consider this a hotel. More like a Bed and Breakfast (without the breakfast). I'm sure that there are those who would find this "hotel" quaint. It was just not our cup of tea.., even if I could have gotten one!"

Cottage near the Bay
10/10 Excellent
"Cottage was clean and perfect size for a quick getaway. Not far at all from the Ferry Ride to Smith Island. The town of Crisfield seemed a bit boring as did the island but the feery ride was fun and there was great food on the island."

"Heron's Nest" Charming Tiny House on Chesapeake Bay-Boat Launch/Slip Included
10/10 Excellent
"Awesome stay all around. The weather was rainy but we made the best of it. The cabin had tv and board games. The Ingram Bay Marina setting was nice and we had a great view of the moon over the bay on our last night. Plenty to do nearby as well. The hosts were friendly and helpful."

Private 5-acre Waterfront Retreat with Main & Guest House & BBQ Shed
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful location with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. We saw deer and ducks and the largest Blue Heron I’ve ever seen. The property is ideal for family gatherings or just getting away from a busy life. Fleeton, VA is a gem."

Near Chincoteague & Assateague Island Charming 2-bedroom cottage
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely little cottage in a quiet little town. Great for a private getaway. The place was very well kept and nicely decorated. Communication with host couldn't have been any better, very responsive. Check in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again if ever in this area in the future."
