The only free-standing cabin located right in the heart of Taos Ski Valley, the Taos Mountain Chalet is the quintessential luxury ski chalet that looks like you've stepped right into the pages of a magazine. With its premier location just steps from the lifts, guests experience breathtaking views of the slopes both while relaxing inside this cozy chalet or while sitting outside on the enormous outside deck overlooking the mountain. In addition, the Chalet's location right next door to our sister property, the luxurious Alpine Village Suites, provides guests with easy access to all of the first-class amenities at this property - including high-speed Internet, business center, outdoor hot tub, sauna and massage facilities.

Amazing vacation

We had a great time at the chalet which is located just perfectly at the base of ski valley! Ski all day and come home to a great living room, kitchen, and hot tub to make for fun evenings as well!

Location location location!

To be able to stay in a chalet right at the base of our favorite mountain was amazing! You are across the street from everything. The chalet was well stocked and had plenty of room for all of us. It was great to sit in the hot tub with a view of the mountain. We would definitely consider staying again!

Great Location!

Very cozy feeling property with helpful management. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace with ample wood available. Parking and navigation to the property was easy. Pros: 1. Location to skiing and the view 2. Comfortable furniture & beds 3. Ease of check in and check out 4. Plenty of linens and towels Cons: 1. Poor internet 2. Challenge with temperature regulation (upstairs hot while downstairs cold)

Great Location!

Even better located than some ski in / ski out. Perfect location for a group or family, as people can pop in for ski breaks without having to coordinate the group. Hot tub worked great. The first level has 2 bedrooms and 2 showers: one with King bed, the other with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 beds total). The second level has 2 bedrooms and 1 shower: both bedrooms have a queen bed. Also saw a roll out bed in a closet. 2 couches are large enough to sleep on. We loved it. Its part of the Alpine Village, and the front desk brought over sleds for us to borrow when we asked. Very helpful and accommodating. Only hiccup was slow wifi, which might just be the best available.

MOST IDEAL LOCATION IMAGINABLE

This property is really a unique place. If you need food, rentals, ski school, or just get on the lift, you can beat all of them within three minutes of walking. The place is stocked with a great amount of firewood and the stove will heat the whole house with no problem. The hot tub is perfect and located so you can look at the slopes while relaxing. We had six adults and three children in the house and had two beds to spare. Really a great place to spend a few days with friends and family!

Cozy and close

We enjoyed our stay and this location was perfect for skiing and then taking a break. We were able to cook meals some and get food at the bear by restaurants. The hours for the restaurant’s were different and difficult during the evening. We got groceries at Albertsons in Taos before driving to Ski Valley. Thank you for a beautiful place to stay!

Wonderful log cabin at base of slopes! Warm and inviting with fireplace / stove to keep everyone nice and toasty! Very few rentals closer than this chalet!

Friends Ski Weekend

Simply put, this house is great, and I'm not sure the pictures even do it justice. The location is perfect, and if you're just skiing and staying in the ski valley, you likely won't need your car. Secondly, we were worried about the size of the place and thought the pictures made it seem cramped. However, we were thrilled to find that while the bedrooms were a little tight, the living room and dining room were quite spacious and very comfortably fit our group. Lastly, we weren't sure if the hot tub referenced in the listing was a private one or a community hot tub at the hotel. We were thrilled to find the hot tub right on the front deck of our place, for use only by our group. Thanks for a great stay - this house was perfect.

Everything in/on the property was entirely as advertised. Clean, comfortable (esp the beds) & well stocked. Everything worked perfectly. We also appreciated that the owners & front desk were very prompt and informative with information and clarifications for us. The cabin experience really added to the enjoyment of skiing in 20" of snow! Highly recommended property.

Extremely Comfortable and Great Location

Our guest experience was wonderful and we can not think of any improvements that should be made. The Chalet was clean, location very accessible to lodge, sky slops, shops, resturants, the comfort was as if we were at home, extremely comfortable. The staff were very accommodating, stopping by to see if we need anything, infact the office manager heard my husband talk about wishing he could have brought his guitar and she came the next day with her guitar for him to play, he really appreciated her kindness. The amenities were perfect and offered the same as you would have at home. The owner's knowledge regarding the facility and surrounding area was exceptional.
