"Maritxu's House," a single-story home of approximately 100 m² opening onto a covered west-facing terrace and a beautiful garden, featuring a natural sandpit for children and a forest on a sand dune.
The property is fenced, and there is a hammock set up in the forest.
Located 3 km from the beach. The beach is accessible by car, on foot, or by bike via the Vélodyssée (a bike path that winds through the forest to the beach).

The house was completely renovated in 2021, with an effort to preserve its character (“old” meets “new”):
- the electrical system, heating, and all interior paintwork were redone,
- The kitchen, bathroom, and bathrooms have been renovated with high-quality fixtures:
- In the bedrooms, the solid pine hardwood floors have been restored, and the bedding has just been replaced with high-quality sets:
- 1 bedroom with a 160 x 200 bed
- 2 bedrooms with a 140 x 190 bed
- 1 small bedroom with a 90 x 190 bed
The house features a large lot of approximately 1,500 m² with a Zen garden, a natural sandpit for children, and a forest on a sand dune. The forest consists of maritime pines and cork oaks (typical of the Landes region).
The property and forest are fenced in, making them ideal for rest and tranquility. A hammock is set up in the forest, and lounge chairs are also available.
The house features a large covered terrace facing due west (with no direct views from neighbouring properties). This allows you to fully enjoy the sunset during long summer evenings—a view that’s also visible from the forest (which also faces due west).
The house is located 3 km from the beach (3 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike). The beach is accessible on foot or by bike via the Vélodyssée (a trail that winds through the forest to the beach). The bike paths are 200 metres away. 17 km of fine sandy beach stretching from Tarnos to Capbreton, surf spots, golf courses, and more are at your disposal.
Thanks to the house’s prime location, you’ll find it easy to visit not only the Basque Country (Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz, Bidart, Espelette, Ainhoa, St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, or St. Jean-de-Luz) but also the Landes region (the towns of Capbreton and Hossegor are 10 km away) and Spain, which is only 30 km away.
We’ll have made the beds before your arrival.
Towels are not provided.
We can provide a baby kit and/or two adult bicycles (including one fat bike) upon request a few days before your arrival.
We thoroughly clean the house between each guest, but we expect the house to be returned in a clean condition. Otherwise, you will be charged a flat fee of 100 euros.
