"Relative to Reidsville, the location was extremely convenient. It wasn't smack dab in the middle of town and the grocery store as well as other shops were very near. Absolutely would stay here again and definitely plan to whenever I need to stay in the area."
"I needed two units, and appreciated discussion with the host to help confirm a selection best suited for our needs. We all enjoyed the selections, totally lovely and next door to one another."
"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and would not recommend staying here.
From the moment I entered the room, there was an unpleasant odor. it did not smell clean or fresh at all. The issues continued throughout the room. The shower had a strong, foul smell, similar to a wet dog. The refrigerator was dusty and visibly dirty, and the microwave had not been properly cleaned. Even the “Do Not Disturb” sign was dirty, which speaks volumes about the level of housekeeping.
There were roaches in the room, which is completely unacceptable. The phone was also filthy, with an oily residue as if it had not been cleaned after previous guests. Additionally, there was some type of splattered residue on the bathroom door.
Due to the overall lack of cleanliness and sanitation, I felt extremely uncomfortable and chose to leave early.
What made the situation worse was the response from the front desk. When I reported the issues, instead of offering an apology or attempting to resolve the situation, I was told to contact the manager on Monday and “maybe” I could receive a discount. That response was dismissive and frankly insulting given the condition of the room.
This experience fell far below basic hospitality standards. Cleanliness should never be optional."
"This is not a rent ready property. The 1.5 miles of dirt road was not accurately portrayed in the listing narrative. Owner advised her compact car could get to the cabin. We had to use our four wheeled drive truck to maneuver the numerous potholes some ranging 3-6’ across and 18-24” deep, filled with water. The cabin was in disrepair and flood debris was on the walk around porch blocking access or view from the windows. Some areas of the deck needed replacement boards and paint along the railings were worn off. The internet was not working and the cell service consisted of one bar if any service at all. This information was not discovered until after check-in and full payment made. The owner provided a book of information and that is when a person learns of the poor internet, cell service and TV reception (TV reception was via antenna and after moving the device around 12 times, we still had poor reception and extremely limited channels-PBS mostly). The vertical interior blinds were missing panels, chipped or not working. The front door blinds did not work consequently we had no privacy. We had to purchase a full bar of soap and pillows for the bed because the ones provide were flat and not useful.Sulfur water was tolerable but not water we would drink. All in all it was not a pleasant stay however on a positive note, it was extremely clean (although stove could be replaced)."
