You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Chalet 1, The Retreat - located within a private lakefront estate

Closest to the car park and perched at the highest point of the property, Chalet 1 offers sweeping views down Lake Taupō all the way to Mt Tongariro. With golden late-afternoon sun streaming in, it is a warm and restful spot to put your feet up after a day of exploring.



Each chalet is:



  • 2 levels
  • 2 bedrooms
  • an internal area of 110 square metres


Each chalet can accommodate 4-5 guests comfortably, and up to 7 guests at a squeeze by utilising the small sofa bed in the lounge.



On the ground floor is a full size kitchen, lounge, dining, laundry, toilet, and outdoor deck with a BBQ.



Upstairs is two bedrooms (both with ensuite bathrooms):



The master bedroom has a super king bed, study desk, lake views and an outdoor deck.



The bedding in the second bedroom can be made up to provide for either:



  • two king single beds; or
  • three single beds (by pulling out a 3rd single trundler bed); or
  • a super king bed (by pulling the two king single beds together).


Heating options include wood burning fire, or heat pump system.



Free ultra fast fibre WIFI is included.



Each chalet has a 43" Smart TV, for guests to view live TV, or log in to their preferred streaming app accounts (eg. Netflix, Neon, Sky Sport, TV on demand, etc).



Hot water is supplied via a new gas hot water system, providing endless hot water.
