Cheap & cheerful

Friendly hosgt couldn't have been more accommodating. Clean,tidy room, relatively quiet for a hostel-type place. Would recommend for those seeking a good room at a bargain price.

Not maintained

Was our last minute booking but was disappointed by the service n with the overall room. Not enough towels provided, n the ones available were not clean. The wash room was dirty as if had not been cleaned for months. There were cobwebs in the room as well as in the bathroom. I have gone for even cheaper accommodation once but the the facilities were much better. I would not recommend anyone for this hotel.

Good location with ok facilities.

Good location, close to city centre but not in it. Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room and shared bathroom was clean and generally well prepared. Walls were very thin which was awkward as everything could be heard, and staff's children were free to wander down the hall. Nice Tv in room that didn't work and there was a hole in the wall.

We didn’t stay the night

Upon arrival the foyer was dark and dingy. We had to carry our bags up the stairs to our room, there’s a smell of mold/damp in the air and the room was cramped. Light fixtures were dark and dirty, the bath mat was stinky of mould. Their was a window in our room door so people could see in and someone walked in while we were in the room, which tells us the door mustn’t be self locking or the keys are all the same. When I checked the bed to see if it was clean I noticed a mark under the sheet, when I pulled back the bottom sheet I saw blood & fluid stains on the mattress protector and marks on the mattress underneath. There was also no air conditioner, so without any proper airflow the room was very hot. We decided not to stay at the night and booked accomodation elsewhere. When I checked out the manager just smiled awkwardly not offering a reimbursement or alternate room, a brief apology was all he said. When I saw the reviews I regret not having read any prior to booking, had I done so, I would never have booked here. For $150 per night, this place was so overpriced.

Horrible place

The rooms were very dirty, there was such a strong cigaret smell in the room, also the Person form room 13 was making loud constantly being on the phone and listening to music. We couldn't get any sleep it was horrible.

Confused staff tried to scam us twice

It all started on the day prior to our stay on the 8th of December. The motel owner called us whilst we were in a low/no cellphone coverage area, this meant that we only got the call a couple of hours later. In his call he claimed that we had booked the room from the 8th till the 9th of December, when in fact we had booked it for the 9th till the 10th. We had to pull up our booking and prove it to them that we were right in order to get our room back. Once we got to the Motel, and headed up to our room we found out that the room had a shared bathroom when we specifically booked a room with a PRIVATE bathroom. The room was also reeking of cigarettes. Frustrated at the way we had been treated the obvious course of action was to demand our money back which we did not fully receive. We will never ever be coming back and advice others to avoid this motel at any cost. The people here will try to scam you for your money.

Worst place ever

This is a back packers accommodations trying to pretend to be a motel. Booked 2 nights but on arrival... HATED the place, room was awful. Fridge didn't work, owners didn't care, no remote for TV. No towels provided again owner didn't care. Spent 45 minutes on phone with expedia who were amazing in supporting us to get a refund on second night as owner was unwilling to be helpful. I would never stay here again even if it was free. The smell of urine in the corridor was over powering.. advertise on front sign of spa. It was not working in a room just big enough to fit it and was filled with junk... this place is the pits !!! Dirty, not as described and poor management by the actual owners .... if could give a minus rating I would.... BAD BAD BAD!!!

Worse decision ever

I would not recommend staying here at all. Foyer smelt like urine, didnt have any knowledge of us staying. Had to go through every room to find a empty one for us even walked in on someone. Found a room white stains on ground. Wasn't explained to how bathroom doors connecting 2 rooms worked so wasnt secure. Bed looked slept in and attendants children were running around in bedrooms. Bedroom had strange smell to it. Tried to get a refund but couldn't claimed to need account number as didn't carry cash.

Don't even consider

Totally misrepresented. It's a purpose built hostel that's badly run down, dirty including the grounds.They lock the place at 8.30pm. No way in or out but through the shared and dirty kitchen and past the rubbish bins. We paid $198.00 for two rooms, moved to the Lakeland for $240.00 for the balance of our stay. Great place, great service, food, etc.

Awesome getaway

Awesome stay, we checked in late (10pm) and we were still greeted with a big smile. Reception was extremely helpful and the rooms were great. Really comfortable and enjoyed the stay.

Cheap and clean

The hotel is cheap and clean. The shared bathroom situation was a surprise, but the manager was amazing and sorted it so I didn't have to share. The rooms are very basic and they don't provide towels unless you ask for them. The manager is amazing, though, and couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. In all, if you are after cheap and clean, this is the place.

Worst hotel ever

This place needs to be shut down. We checked in was taken to our room and we were DISGUSTED! The bed was not made, the glasses provided to use were WET from being used, the bathroom floor was covered in water from a used shower, the toilet seat has poo on it and in general it was disgustinglu filthy (i have photos) not to mention the hotel in general was filthy with rubbish everywhere outside and inside. We had our child with us so we decided to not stay in filth and we demanded a refund!!!

Not worth the cheap price tag

Had to call a mobile when we arrived and left. Place was a shambles, room full of rubbish, no tea or coffee, one dirty glass and spoon, paper thin walls, the list goes on. Pillow was comfy tho!
