"While the room looked "tired" (furniture was old and a little beat up). Room was mostly clean but could have been cleaner (ie: bottom of microwave had egg all over it from previous tenant, Closet floors didn't look like they have been mopped) but rest of it was really clean. Overall the resort was amazing! Nice pool, hot tub, and beach area. Beautiful sunsets! We unfortunately didn't get to try the restaurant as we ran out of time but people said it was good. "

"We had a great time. Clean place. I wish there was more storage. There was no where for kids to put their clothes or anywhere to put groceries in the cabinets. Other than that, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub and played the games. "

"Island Bay Resort is a little gem. From the warm welcome by Anna to the unique comfortable rooms and immaculately landscaped grounds. Highly recommended and our first choice resort should we be back to the Keys."

"Fantastic location on Tavernier. Bldg is right across from pool and right next to marina and beach. The balcony overlooks the marina, brush, osprey nest, and has a great view of the sunrise! It is small but there are 2 chairs and a table squeezed in, which is about all it fits, but was enough for us. You can also walk out to the gazebo on the pier to watch.Key west is a 2 hour drive and Miami is about 1.5 hours but Tavernier has plenty of amazing restaurants and spots with music that you really don’t need to venture out far. The best (maybe only) thing to get at the pool was the burger.The main bed was comfortable and towels were soft and fluffy. (We didn’t use the second bedroom). There were even a few beach towels that we used. Items like suntan lotion, pool noodles, water in the fridge and laundry detergent seemed to be left for anyone, either by the host or prior renters. We left beer… Francisco was great to communicate with and checking in was very easy. Would recommend staying here. We do like to travel to places we haven’t been before but if we do come back this way, which is a possibility now, we would stay here again!"
