Log walls, timber beams, and a stone fireplace set the tone in the main living area, where a wall of windows frames the peaks. The gas fireplace anchors the seating, and after a day on the mountain it's the natural spot to land for a movie or to watch the ridge go pink at dusk. The open-concept layout keeps the kitchen in the conversation, with a wide range, plenty of counter to work on, a breakfast bar for slow mornings, and a dining table that seats eight for the long-dinner nights. In warmer months, the deck off the living area takes over: grill on the Big Green Egg and eat outside with the ridgeline as your backdrop.

Upstairs, the primary suite is a retreat of its own, with a king bed, mountain views, a flat-screen TV, and an ensuite that pairs a jetted soaking tub set beneath a window with a steam shower. Then there's the hot tub, sunk into the lower deck and angled squarely at the San Sophia Ridgeline. Alpenglow hits the peaks in the evening, and this is where you'll want to be when it does.

The location keeps Telluride easy from the moment you step outside. The Tristant funicular makes getting onto the mountain simple, while Mountain Village is close by for restaurants, shops, groceries, and après-ski stops. The Village Market is about a quarter mile away, and a nearby free gondola takes you to downtown Telluride and Colorado Avenue in about 15 minutes for dinner, shopping, festivals, and nights out. When the snow melts, hiking and mountain-bike trails take over the surrounding terrain; Telluride Golf Club is about half a mile away, and summer events keep the area lively well beyond ski season.
