LOCATION
Riverside C03 is in the Town of Telluride, on the south side of town where South Pine Street ends at the Bear Creek Preserve. The San Miguel River Trail runs along the edge of the complex, so a walk to Town Park, the gondola, or the base of Lift 8 can start at the door. Main Street's restaurants, galleries, and shops are about 7 minutes away on foot, and Clark's Market about 14.
SKI ACCESS
Walk about 4 minutes to Gondola Station Telluride at Oak Street, where the free gondola and Lift 8 start side by side and lift tickets are sold. Ride the gondola to San Sophia Station to ski (a lift ticket is required to get off there in winter), or on to Mountain Village, where the Telluride Ski & Snowboard School is based. At the end of the day, advanced skiers can follow the path under Lift 8 down to the Riverside parking lot. Everyone else can ride the gondola back to town and walk home along the River Trail. The 2026-27 ski season is scheduled for November 26, 2026 to April 4, 2027.
THROUGH THE SEASONS
Summer: the Bear Creek Trail starts at the complex and climbs a steady 2 miles through the 325-acre Bear Creek Preserve to Bear Creek Falls, connecting to the Wasatch Trail. The River Trail leads to Town Park, home of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June, and the Telluride Farmers' Market fills South Oak Street on Fridays from late May to early October. The free gondola rides up to hiking and cross-country biking trails at San Sophia Station.
Fall: the aspens usually peak in late September and early October, and Telluride Blues & Brews fills Town Park in September. The gondola runs into late October.
Winter: besides skiing, Town Park has ice skating and the Telluride Nordic Center's groomed trails, about 9 minutes away on foot.
Spring: skiing runs into early April, and the gondola usually reopens for summer in late May.
