Located off Barters Point Road, a well known and scenic road for walking and bicycling in the charming fishing village of Tenants Harbor, this picturesque oceanfront home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a hot tub is perfect for your group of six. Sailor’s Valentine Beach House, with its grand ocean-facing windows near the shore, creates a sense of the spectacular in this beautifully appointed vacation home.

This home is best suited for one family or two couples seeking a private and relaxed coastal setting, with direct shoreline access, two moorings, and a newly constructed dock with ramp and float.

Upon arrival, you will note the lovely gardens and well maintained grounds. A one car garage is available, along with exterior parking for up to three vehicles. The garage and oversized mudroom provide ample space for storing outdoor gear, beach equipment, and boating essentials.

When you step out the back door, you are only a few steps and a short grassy walk down to your private shoreline. Just off the waterfront, the newly constructed dock, ramp, and float offer excellent access to the water. At the end of the dock, Adirondack chairs provide a perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy a quiet morning or afternoon reading while taking in the ocean views.

The surrounding grounds attract butterflies, a variety of birds, and coastal wildlife, while the waterfront setting offers views of seabirds and passing boats. The ever-changing birdlife and harbor activity are a pleasure to watch throughout the day.

Entering the home, you will note the maple flooring and how the ocean-facing windows brighten the open-concept living and dining areas with natural light. If you plan to stay in for the evening, there is a propane insert fireplace, a 60 inch flat screen television, and comfortable furnishings designed for relaxation. The dining area offers generous seating for shared meals, all with expansive ocean views.

Off of the living room, you enter a large contemporary kitchen with updated appliances, ample counter space, an island workspace, and bar seating for five. The kitchen includes a standard drip coffee maker, a Keurig, and an espresso machine. Directly off the kitchen is an informal breakfast area with seating for four and a cozy wood stove.

Off of the kitchen is a bedroom with a queen size bed and an adjoining full bathroom. Rounding off the first floor is the oversized mudroom with storage space and a treadmill.

A screened-in porch provides a comfortable space for conversation on cooler or rainy days. Moving off the deck, you will find a large hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day on the water. The private shoreline features flat ledge areas for sunbathing, picnicking, and enjoying the coastal setting.

Guests may enjoy kayaking along the shoreline and to nearby islands using the two kayaks provided.

Returning inside, you take the stairs to the second floor, where a Baldwin Grand concert piano overlooks the living area below and the ocean beyond. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom with an adjoining laundry room. The first bedroom has two twin beds. The second is the primary suite, featuring a king size bed, panoramic ocean views, a full bath with soaking tub and large shower, a leather loveseat, a flat screen television, and a writing desk positioned to take in the view.

For your convenience, we have provided initial supplies of linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and beach towels, along with six beach chairs for your use during your stay. You will also find your first tank of propane for the gas grill and fire pit, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, cable television, and wireless internet.

Area Amenities: This home is within walking distance to the village of Tenants Harbor, including the Tenants Harbor General Store, which is open daily and offers coffee, pastries, fresh produce, meats, native lobsters, and full grocery supplies.

Also within the village is Harbor Bistro for breakfast and lunch, The Happy Clam and Outback Saloon for casual dining, Wharfside Coffee located on the harbor, and The Schoolhouse Bakery. A wellness studio in the village also offers yoga classes. The public library and the St. George School playground are also within walking distance.

Tenants Harbor and nearby Port Clyde offer local art galleries and coastal experiences. For families traveling with children, this location is near Blueberry Cove Camp, Herring Gut Coastal Science Center, and the St. George Sailing Club. Advance registration is recommended, as these programs often fill quickly.

Sea kayaks can be rented and delivered from Port Clyde Kayak. Bicycles can be delivered from Maine Sport Outfitters, and small boats, including Boston Whalers, may be rented through Port Harbor Marine.

The home is approximately 15 minutes from Port Clyde, where you can enjoy additional dining, harbor access, and ferry service to Monhegan Island.

Nearby Marshall Point Lighthouse, famously featured in Forrest Gump, offers one of the most iconic coastal views in Maine.

Water: Sailor’s Valentine Beach House is not on public water and operates on a well system with filtration, which is tested regularly.

Sailor’s Valentine Beach House is a Saturday to Saturday rental offered year round and comfortably accommodates six guests.
