Leigh Creek Lodge in the Aspens

  • PLEASE NOTE Guest house over garage is occupied by me and my wife. This secluded mountain home with RV parking(no hookups) and a hot tub is ideal for family vacations, ski/snowmobile trips, Yellowstone/Grand Teton, and small events. The wooded 3.4-acre property at the end of a cul-de-sac borders Wyoming BLM land to the east. National Forest Access via North and South Leigh Canyon is just a couple miles from the house. Hike/bike/snowmobile directly from the house.
    - Includes one space in heated attached garage + one space in attached garage, as well as plenty of additional outside parking.
    - RV/trailer parking in large lot in rear of property.
    - Fiber internet.
    - 85" TV in great room. 65" LG smart TV in basement living room.
    - 7-person hot tub on the elevated wrap-around deck.
    - Gourmet kitchen includes 48" NXR gas range with 6 burners, griddle, and double-oven.
    - Dinner seating for 14 (8 table, 6 counter).

Simply amazing

Matt was such a great host. The location of the property, in the woods just far enough from the slopes, was great. The covered deck with the hot-tub was a huge advantage when it snowed! Couldn't have asked for a better time.

Peacock Family Vacation

The property was perfect for our family of 14. The location worked out very well for day trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks as well as Jackson, WY. The grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub and the outside games. In short, we had a great vacation. Note: This trip was planned three years ago, and postponed for the past two years by the pandemic.

Family vacation

We had an amazing time on our vacation. Matt was a wonderful host and the house was perfect! The hot tub was a fun perk, we also enjoyed the wonderful deck to grill and hangout on. The dishwasher broke while we were there and Matt had it replaced the next day! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

We had a small wedding at the property and the host was most gracious! The property couldn’t have been more perfect and Matt’s communication was excellent. Just a perfect weekend! And we all miss Mack!

TETONIA FAMILY GET TOGETHER

I was not able to go because I hurt my back. My husband and family went. Everyone really liked Mac the watch dog. Some of my family complained the down stairs was had to sleep in because of the dog pee smell. They were not able to enjoy the big screen TV downstairs because of the bad smell.

Good Advice from My Grandson

Last December I mentioned to my grandson who lives in the Teton Valley that I had waited too long to book the vacation rental that I had rented last year for our extended family to visit my grandsons and their mother. I asked him to do a "drive by" and see how some of the available properties looked. Dylan said, "Grandma, my landlord just bought the most amazing house that he is going to be renting out next summer. I just helped him move in." He had Matt send me the real estate listing, and indeed, the house looked perfect for our needs. Matt was a joy to work with. The house was perfect! We were greeted the first evening by a mama mule deer and her fawns. The house is in a secluded, wooded location. It has lots of space, a great kitchen and bathrooms, a magnificent great room and a huge family room in the basement with amenities that pleased every one from the oldest to youngest member of our party. The yard was big enough that we could set up a volleyball net in either the side or back yard. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We spent our days exploring, hiking, rafting, shopping and relaxing, and our nights sitting on the large, wrap-around deck under the stars, and lounging in the hot tub. Although Matt and his wife live on the property, the only time we saw Matt was when we had a question. We had no trouble with cell phone service (we are all Verizon,) and we had no trouble with the TV's. My five year old granddaughter figured out the system and showed us how to use it! We ate out most nights at the wonderful restaurants in the area including The Royal Wolf, Forage, and Tatanka Tavern where our two grandsons make some of the best pizza anyone could imagine! I am proud to have been the first person that Matt completed his first vacation rental contract with, and so glad that my grandson offered me such good advice! I didn't recommend this house for people with disabilities, although with a large bedroom and bath on the first floor, and only two steps up to the deck, it might be feasible for someone with limited mobility.

Beautiful property in great location

Matt is a courteous and accessible host. This property was everything we needed. We enjoyed beautiful views from the road ro the house. We saw deer every day! We enjoyed lawn games and especially loved our time in the hot tub. There was more than enough space for our family.

Winter wonderland

Lovely setting with a terrific snow shoe hike right from the property. Relaxed, skied at Targhee and Jackson, and enjoyed the snow covered Aspen surroundings.

Loved it!

We had the best experience staying here. Matt is so kind and wonderful to work with! The house is beautiful and incredibly well stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms! The beds were super comfy and the location is stunning and can’t be beat. Plenty of room for our group! We are already planning a return visit!

Hidden Treasure

We had nothing but headaches getting here with airline cancellations, delays, weather issues and flight rebooking. But…once we got to the house it was as though we fell onto a pillowy cloud of ease. Home was beautiful and welcoming like a winter wonderland. Home amenities were plentiful as though it was a given we would need all of the kitchen, bathroom etc items that were there for us. Once the heat warmed we hardly needed slippers for the floor it was so warm and cozy. The gas fireplace was a highlight. Matt the owner, who lives on the property was easily accessible if needed and a ghost when you wanted to feel as though no one was close by. Perfect combination. Awesome beyond belief cool place for a puppy dog if it applies. Matt has dogs as well and for us who left our dogs at home, he was gracious enough to share them with us to love on. We skied at Grand Targhee everyday and with the back cut through open was a complete doable drive. Had a great stay and are looking forward to a summer visit! Thanks Matt and Grand Targhee neither of whom disappointed.

Absolutely amazing Apsaroke getaway.

The house was wonderful for our family Christmas reunion. We has 2 infants and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us. It easily accommodated 3 families with rooms to spare. Matt was fantastic to work with; going above and beyond making sure our stay was one of the best we have ever had. He was very responsive and communicative. He provided a great Xmas tree for Christmas cheer. The property was so tranquil, the perfect balance of remote and accessible for our group. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed! We will be back.

Just a Rental Unit

We gave a 3 star on accuracy for a couple reasons, the fenced in dog yard was so overgrown it was basically unusable, fire pit was questionable loaded with yard games. The kitchen was nice sized and the stove was great, however not having adequate utensils, (not a sharp knife in the house) one spatula (melted) mismatched drinking classes (small mason jars) the kitchen supplies were something I would expect in a weekend single room off grid cabin rental, carpet throughout is worn and needs replacement. Location was quiet and the front yard was very well kept. Overall it would be great with a few relatively easy fixes and a little more attention to detail.

Forest Gem

Very clean, well appointed house nestled at the edge of the Targhee Mountains. Matt was an attentive and helpful and made our stay seamless and pleasant. A wonderful quiet getaway from the crowded, expensive tourist town of Jackson. Nearby restaurants were surprisingly good and reasonably priced. This place was a gem.

Beautiful home in beautiful setting!

We had 3 generations of family stay at this property. The space was perfect for our large group with everyone having their own space when wanted yet could all be together comfortably in the open concept main living. Everyone loved the hot tub! We utilized the kitchen for most meals and found everything we needed. We even had an marriage proposal in the beautiful yard - she said YES! We found the location was an easy drive to Jackson/Grand Tetons and west entrance to Yellowstone. A great home for a trip we will never forget!!

Family Vacay

The house was a perfect getaway! We really enjoyed being out in the country, away from all of the noise we are around every day. We had other family members over for dinner one evening. We found everything we needed (other than the food, of course!) in the house to serve a fantastic meal to everyone. There is a set of bags there that made the evening pass very quickly - our family is very competitive. Matt provided lots of information on what to do and where to go as well as where to purchase groceries. We used the cooler he had at the house to carry drinks around with us when we left the house.
