Charming 2-bedroom cabin with WiFi and AC in Licking
8/10 Good
"I and a friend stayed here while on a fishing trip. The pictures and description of the property was accurate. It is small, but if you’re staying while hunting or fishing it fits the bill. It is a little house—just as advertised—but nicely set up and equipped. It is about 11 miles out of Licking. If you come in to stay, a piece of advice: do NOT take Slabtown Rd in to the property. It is worth driving a little further and entering from Licking to have a paved road versus a narrow, gravel, sandy, muddy road."
"We were disappointed with the room. The alarm clock with the phone charging ports didn’t work, the screen door was missing, the toilet you had to hold the handle down for the toilet to flush, only 2 tiny trash cans available, when I went to empty the trash, all of the outdoor trash cans were overflowing until the following day. We tried eating at the lodge in the dining room. Waited 20 minutes and still weren’t offered drinks or silverware and noticed everyone in the dining room were still waiting on their food, so we ended up leaving. A biker gang came into the parking lot revving up their engines and driving through the grass and a guy interrupted us and others very rudely on a paddle board while we were trying to fish talking ignorant to everyone saying he could do what he wanted. My husband and his family have been visiting for decades and this weekend was the worst experience we have ever experienced. Definitely not worth $500 for our stay."
"Room was clean upon arriving. No one checked trash or anything the 2 days while there.
Air conditioning worked great! It was muggy and hot!
The bed was ok. If you like firm this is your place!
Pool wasn't open yet but looked good!
Free breakfast was cold cereal. Not very appetizing.
Now the cons- I reserved a deluxe room with a jacuzzi and it wasn't honored. The motel said I had to call Hotel.com. When I did the customer service agent was very helpful but they wouldn't budge. Stated they (the motel) never got the updated room change and it was already reserved. There was no conversation to try to accommodate or upgrade us from the motel. Nothing."
"I’ll start with the pros and end with some cons The surrounding area and backyard were beautiful. Surrounded with greenery and nature and fresh air. The location was secluded and quiet and cozy overall. The host responded to messages quickly and the check in was very easy. Now to the consThe cabin interior was extremely dirty, if you’re a clean freak, I would look elsewhere. There were flies in every part of the house, fly takeover. The WiFi would connect to phones but it wouldn’t work 90% of the time, we couldn’t get the tv to work for more than an hour as well during our stay. We had to use our phone data plans to surf internet."
Ozark Retreat-a cozy cabin perfect for outdoor enthusiast or a place to relax.

"Photos and listing description were exactly what we found when we arrived at this cute woodsy cabin! The porches were amazing and provided the outdoor living and relaxing space we were hoping for. House was clean, everything labeled, and the location was great. Thanks!"

"Very nice place. Covered porch and bonfire area were a plus. Would be nice to have some outdoor games as the lot is large and flat. Overall a great stay and the host was pleasant and easy to work with. I highly recommend this place."
