"You feel welcome and pampered from the time you get your welcome drink at check in and they arrange for a take you to the airport. Lovely room with plenty of jw marriott’s well known amenities. The property has lush tropical gardens to walk through, you can visit the sea turtles, dine at very good restaurants. We enjoyed Ginja Taste and Cucina. Every staff member was welcoming and went out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Fabulous buffet with so many tropical fruit choices, french butter, honey from the honeycomb, asian and western choices. Lots of activities. The acquatic tai chi class was wonderful. The wide variety of pools including the adults only pool was very much appreciated. "

"Highly recommend this resort. Lovely staff, super accommodating. Food was yummy and the resort in general was clean and well maintained. Some of the restaurants were on the more expensive side but that was expected. There’s a free shuttle if you’re also interested in visiting the local markets. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Merlin. The hotel is beautifully set in a jungle oasis, yet walkable to plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets in the nearby village as well as some great bars, cafes and massage parlours along the beach. The room was very comfortable and spacious, although the jungle setting did mean it was a little more difficult to make good use of our balcony due to the mosquitoes and meant a few more bugs than normal seemed to get into our room and luggage. Breakfast was fantastic with a great variation and selection. The pool areas were great and there was never a shortage of sunbeds - either by the pool or the beach. Thanks for an enjoyable stay - we’d be happy to return!"

"Room was very clean. Sheets were CHANGED every day not just folded back into place. AC works perfect. Wifi no issues 50mb/s. Very impressed with the quality of the hotel, only negative would be thin walls but it’s not a big deal. Outside of the hotel - the beach is about a 25 minute walk away, other than that there isn’t much to do in that area, i’d say that’s the only negative. Overall the hotel is very good quality, very clean."
