"We have mixed feelings about our stay at the Mekong Lodge. The hotel and grounds are quaint, and we got to extensively relax at the bar and by the pool, which was nice after being in loud and busy HCMC. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, and the sounds of construction filled the air from 730am to 730pm -> not so nice if you intend to take a nap in your room, or eat lunch in the restaurant by the water. If the construction wasn't enough, then the cacaphony of roosters at 4am will...

"Instead of restating all the spectacular things people have said I'll give one example. My partner and I left breakfast quickly because we didn't want to be late for our tour. "The property was beautifully landscaped, the service was impeccable and the cooking class was fantastic. The bahn xeo was the best I have had in Vietnam so far, and we are 2 weeks after our stay. The rest of the food was amazing! Vinh is a great host and you are in a jungle village in the middle of nowhere on the Mekong Delta. An amazing experience. As a side note, the room is basic and there is no air conditioning, but the night does cool off and there are multiple fans in the room."

"We booked a family room for 6 people thinking that it will be a big room for everyone. But in reality, it’s 2 separate standard rooms next to each other. It is false advertisement. If we had known that it will be just 2 separate rooms, we would not have booked it. The food is terrible, low quality and yet, way overpriced. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. This hotel should only be in the 2*-class at the most! "
