Couples Swept Away All Inclusive

"One of the best beaches in the world + a few great free excursions + slightly-better-than-cruise-ship food quality. We tried most of the dishes available on the property, and while only a few were bad, few were great. While there is always something solid at each buffet, and the ‘high end’ restaurants weren’t terrible, we didn’t have one bite during our stay that begged us to eat it again. You visit for the beach…and the beach is worth it. Snorkeling and catamaran cruises were great. The gym is great. The grounds are kept very clean considering some people act like animals. The drinks are somehow just mediocre, a lot of pre-mixed beachy cocktails, best to order your own unique combo that won’t be pre-mixed. Reserve your beach chair early if you want shade and an unobstructed view. But again…what a beach. Also be prepared, if you’re staying on a Saturday night, expect thumping bass until *4 am*. We had a noisemaker on and still only got a few hours of sleep. Also, the beach vendors will never stop. We were standing on our deck in our bathrobes and a guy hollered at us from the beach. They’re so relentless we joked that a guy was about to pop out from underwater with scuba gear and ask us if we wanted to buy weed. Just a bit much."

"I love the uniqueness of it. The staff is wonderful even the security also. I enjoy my breakfast very much in the mornings . The only reason I wouldn’t stay again is I’m from nearby and whenever I visit home I tried to stay away from all inclusive because I would like to have my family visit me with ease and that was a little hard for me but thanks to Monique she is so sweet and all the staff also."

Secret Cabins at Firefly Beach

"Exceptional staff. Everyone was wonderful. A great location right on the beach with beautiful grounds. This is a bit of an older locally owned hotel that shows a little bit of wear and tear but has the casual vibe Negril is known for. Note that the secret cabins have fans but no air conditioning. I went in September, which is shoulder season and a bit hot. I don't understand how people can go to a tropical place and complain about the heat, I enjoyed it. The only real problem at some of these smaller hotels is the aggressive higglers are swarming everywhere like rabid mosquitoes. They're supposed to stay below the high water mark but no one follows the rules. When the local big shot c*ke dealer walks through the resort like he owns the place I have a problem. These cruss higglers are one of the reasons Negril has been in a slow decline for years. Don't buy ganja on the beach. It's all worthless garbage. Go to a real dispensary, there are at least 6 in Negril. Learn the lingo. Never say "no thank you" to the higglers, they don't understand politeness. A firm "mi alright " or "mi bruk pocket " sometimes works. Otherwise "get the F away from me mofo" works too. The food at the restaurant is very good and inexpensive compared to many hotels on the beach."
