"The exterior of the hotel presented an impressive and well-maintained appearance. However, as soon as we got into our room we realized it was a connecting one—connecting door was unlocked and open. The door only had a basic sliding lock instead of a deadbolt, which raised concerns regarding security. After checking our room throughly we up pushed the desk in front of the door. Additionally, we encountered several issues, including a broke hand soap pump, inadequate water pressure, and a bathtub that failed to drain properly. During use of the shower, we found ourselves standing in ankle-deep water, indicating a significant drainage problem, and the AC wasn't working so our room was hot. We won't be staying there again."

"The property location is very convenient to the Blue line and other transportation services. The property is fine but the quality needs to be improve as for a Renaissance Hotel i expected a little bit up there. The services is excellent in checking in. But parking was a but awkward not working gates. In room coffee ,tea and sugar condiments a bit more if possible. Towels needs a bit extra one or two. Overall rated not bad for Chicago. I quess you pay what you get. Thanks"

"The bathrooms, specifically the shower was so gross I didn’t want to step in it. There was one available outlet to use in the whole room. Lighting was awful. Lamps were broken and old. The blankets were incredibly thin and they couldn’t give me extras. And you can’t control the temperature in your own room. So you’re just at their mercy on that. The owners are nice but the hotel isn’t. The ice machine definitely wasn’t sanitary and was only in the office so unavailable at night. The steps to the second floor were very small and honestly dangerous. The location wasn’t great either. There’s one restaurant in walking distance and the food there is very mids. Cannot recommend."

"I stayed two nights. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. Pillows were flat, but stacking them helped. Shower was clean and the water was nice and hot. All amenities in the room were clean and worked as well. I saw a few makeup spots on the bathroom wall, the door had a handprint. I came from California and would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Chicago."
