"I would say this feels more like a hostel than a hotel. The best part is its central location in Old San Juan. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. We appreciated their recommendations for restaurants and parking lots. The complimentary drinks at the bar and rooftop are nice perks. The lobby is nice. However, our room was disappointing and left much to be desired. It was interior (standard) room so it’s only windows opened into the hallway. The room was dark with yellow, flickering lights. The mini fridge sits directly on the floor. The towels were very worn and a discomforting grayish color. The floors felt and looked unclean. The rooftop views were lovely but the seating felt half hazard and in disrepair. There were leaks in the hallways. I think this hotel has a lot of potential but would benefit from some updates and cleaning."

"the check in process is crazy too many steps to do . separate area to store luggage . no elevators we have to carry up the stairs our luggages not disclose in the website . the place is dirty the floors not being cleaned properly lots of dirt and dirt stain on the tile floors . smells smokey inside even tho it said non smoking in the website . the only good thing about casa pelayo is spacious apartment and the location is accessible to the old san juan and the airport "
