"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Kalaw Hills Resort. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is excellent and the service was personal and everyone was very attentive. Chozin, who manages the resort was particularly helpful and I could always count on her to help me in many capacities. Her English skills are very good and she was able to help tremendously. "Pros 1. Rooms are just okay - spartan (not big) along with toothbrush, toothpaste, bath gel, shampoo 3. Free water bottle per day 4. "A very hospitable new hotel about 4km outside Kalaw in a quiet area with fantastic rural views. Still getting established and with plans for a pool and spa. Great food and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. A little quiet while we were there but probably due to low season approaching and getting themselves set up."

"Arrived at the hotel and hotel staff mentioned that they do not have agreement with Expedia since 2019. I wonder why Expedia still list this hotel in the website. Fully paid for rooms and still awaiting reply on refund."
