The legendary Gulfport Casino  is a national historic site located in Gulfport, Pinellas County, Florida. Built at the end of the dock into Boca Ciega Bay in 1906 as station and ticket office, the building contained a Post Office and a refreshment stand. The current building was reconstructed in the 1930s, and now is a historic landmark. It is one of the last of its kind in America that is still operational with a bandshell stage, and an original 5,000 square foot Canadian white maple solid wood dance floor, The Gulfport Casino Ballroom has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it still hosts dances during the week, is available for event rentals and special occasions. #Florida #roadtrip #Gulfport #casino #dancing #music #beach #pier #swimming #community
