Dogsledding is something you should try if you’re in Alberta in the winter.  Definitely an experience and helps you put into perspective how hard it was to travel in the North before snowmobiles.

You can see how excited the dogs are to get going.  When they are attached to the sled they can’t wait to get going, tails wagging the entire time.

3. Banff Gondola

4. Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort is located in Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering skiers and riders more than 3,300 acres (1,335 hectares) of skiable terrain with 12 high-speed lifts and 111 runs. The ski season runs from early November through late May and features hiking at Sunshine Meadows between June and October.
