Atlanta featuring a fountain, outdoor art and mountains
Great place for relaxation and of course the laser show.
This photo was taken on September 25 when the yellow daisies are blooming on Stone Mountain in Atlanta. Stone Mountain is one of the top sights in the Atlanta area. It's a large exposed granite mountain (batholith) 22 miles from downtown. It's a favorite hiking spot for many Atlantans. It's a strenuous hike up but only takes about about an hour to reach the summit. Great place to watch the sunset.
This photo was taken on the top of the mountain because that tree is growing out of the rock! The hike up Stone Mountain is not hard and there is a pavilion halfway to the top if anyone needs a break. It is a very popular hike and is usually very busy. If you want to skip the hike and get right to the top there is a skylift for about $20 per person. #BvSApplication
