Cooper’s Beach is a glistening beach that stretches along the southern shore of Long Island, beside the historic upmarket town of Southampton. Visit the Wölffer Estate Vineyard to get a glimpse of country life in the Hamptons. Enjoy views of the rows of grape vines and sample the fine wines from the covered stone terrace, then visit the horse stables and enjoy a night out at its Wine Stand or restaurants.

The Shinnecock Nation Cultural Center and Museum is located on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation. Visit the museum for a great insight into the traditions and ways of life of the local Shinnecock and watch demonstrations of their artisan and artistic skills and techniques.

Ponquogue Beach is a beautiful stretch of sand accessed by a bridge across Shinnecock Bay. Join local residents on the 600 feet (180 meters) of sand to relax in the sun. Bring the family to build sand castles, play beach volleyball, fly a kite or simply enjoy a lovely day at the beach. The water is blue, the waves are gentle and the ocean floor is mostly sand.

The Parrish Art Museum is a Long Island institution. The architecturally designed modern museum in a rural setting has its roots in the private 19th-century collection of Samuel Longstreth Parrish. These days, the collection follows through to contemporary 21st-century art, including pieces by local artists.
