Quiet and Comfortable
Quiet campground area even though it was full, did hear the train whistle nearby in the night but didn't bother us and was disclosed by owner. Cabin was clean and comfortable for 4 adults, had all the needed dishes, towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. Staff was friendly. Will recommend to others.

Thompson Springs Paradise
This place was clean, amazingly peaceful, and so much healer than staying in Moab. The communication was great with the owner and check in was extremely simple. I highly recommend this gem in the middle of a peaceful high desert.

Great place to stay
Was very clean and enjoyable stay. Easy to check in had everything we needed for the night. Easy check out process. Would happily stay again. The view was beautiful as well. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and just looking out into the desert and the night sky.

Wanderer heading west.
I needed a place to stop along the way heading from Nebraska to the Pacific Coast. The Gecko House was a great place to stop along the way. I was able to totally relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and see the stars at night. The house was lovely, and very clean. Communication was great with the owners. Everything was just right. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Three of us stayed at Ballard RV property. It is a fantastic location. It’s close enough to civilization if you need it, but far enough away to enjoy quiet and privacy. 30 minutes from the Moab airport. The canyons in Thompson Springs are amazing - hiking or riding, day or night (the star gazing is phenomenal out here). The staff at the park are friendly and accommodating. The park itself is very clean and appealing. Showers and laundry machines are available for guests and travelers. If you’re a dog owner, they even take your furry family and have a spot for you to walk them. 10/10. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Not very clean
The place was very small and there was cat hair everywhere (my wife is very allergic to cats). Hair in the shower and red spots all over the concrete pad in the front which our dog rolled all over in. We never tried to contact the hosts as with all the cat hair there would have been very little they could have done. We ended up leaving a getting a hotel in Moab.

Yes, this rental is advertised as a "one bedroom efficiency with a covered porch" so it is small. The kitchen is divided from the dining and living room area with cupboards. The bedroom and bathroom are separate. Since the guest did not contact us or leave a survey for us we were not aware there were any problems. We would have been happy to address their concerns immediately. When you read our reviews, you will see we have very high ratings for cleanliness. Housekeeping did not indicate there was any extra cleaning ie: pet hair, red spots, etc. after their stay and the guest arriving the next day gave us 5 stars.

Great Place, Great Price!
We loved our stay at this little place. We were greeted after a long, hot day with nice cold air conditioning and the whole place made us want to stay a couple more days. If we do another road trip in this direction, we'll definitely stay here again!

Great location
Secluded and peaceful place to stay. Bed and pull out couch were great, plenty of blankets and pillows. We went to Moab and Arches National Park in the morning, which was just a short 30-40 min drive away.

Peaceful Rest
We loved staying at the Gecko House. Nice and clean. So relaxing after visiting all the parks. We also ventured out to the Sego ghost town and also saw the petroglyphs in Thompson Springs. We loved the covered patio, swing and grill. Highly recommend this area. Just bring groceries as we did and planned ahead.

Awesome location!
We enjoyed our stay at the Gecko House. We absolutely loved the area, and that it was in the middle of nowhere. I suggest taking a drive north on 94 to see the Sego Canyon rock art. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed having our coffee on the porch swing in the mornings, and ending the evenings there taking in the sunset. We did get a knock on the door late-ish at night. It was a late-arriving RVer looking for the office. I could see how the Gecko House would look like the office at night since it’s the first building you see. So, some additional signage mighthh be a good idea. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for hosting us. :)

Super little vacation home. Even oven sparking clean! Just very hard to regulate water temp in shower! Lots of hot! Otherwise strongly recommend. Quiet location. 30 mins to park. Canyonlands also lovely plus scenic drive along Colorado river closeby.

2nd time staying in this park and will definitely be back.
My husband and I have stayed in these cabins before and loved it both times. It is close enough to Moab, Arches and the Island in the Sky NPs that you can easily visit them each day if you wish. You can take a dirt trail all the way from the cabins to a back road entrance to Arches. That canyon in itself is very scenic. There are plenty of dirt trails to enjoy a 4x4 or side by side nearby. If you wish to go into Moab, there is plenty of shopping and dinning options. Please be aware that there is only a gas station/convenience store in Thompson Springs, so plan on bringing groceries with you. There is a small market in Green River, but it was closed on Sunday, the only day we were in that area. The first time we stayed here, we rented a lager unit that had a washer/dryer inside the unit. This time we opted to try the smaller unit and just use the office washer/dryer. If you don’t need the extra room, this is a great option. The office has 2 very nice washers and dryers, a few private shower rooms if you are tent camping (or just want more room from your RV). This area of the office is open 24/7 and is a great amenity. Thank you to the owners and makers for another great vacation. Hope to see you again next year.

Great quick getaway
This place was a nice quant home in the middle of nowhere as described. We came to visit moab with our dogs and it was great for that. Overall very clean place and great service. The only thing that I would have like to have known about beforehand was the sound of the train at night. It was very loud but not unbearable just good to know about beforehand. Thank for the great amenities!

Quite and peaceful (except for the occasional train but it wasn’t an issue). Close enough to Moab, just down the street was the Sego Art Wall and the old Sego ghost town and some other fun items. No restaurants in the area but I didn’t need that and enjoyed the peaceful evenings! Dog enjoyed it also. Would stay again if in the area.

We loved staying at this property. Spotlessly clean, well stocked with all kitchen items and linens. Very out the way picturesque location which was perfect for us. Railroad close by but was not intrusive for us, did not run frequently. Only one small problem, the sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on. When brought to property managers attention they said thank you they were not aware and would address promptly. We would recommend to anyone and would return at every opportunity

Stayed here with my hubby. It was a great little place to stay! Very clean and cozy bed. Had everything we needed. We cooked everyday, and used grill a couple times too. The location was quiet, but the only downside was the train! (My husband got a kick out of it cruising thru during the middle of the night!) Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay. We explored the area during the day. Found the ghost town nearby, which was really cool, and, drove down the canyon. We would recommend this little house if you are visiting the are. Not too far from Moab either!
