Beautiful cabin on a great piece of land right on the river. Very clean and tons of room for guest. I would highly recommend and be back again!

Great place for family reunion

Great room and kitchen combo ideal for hanging out. Plenty of seating and well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful deck and screen porch. Not all bedrooms have windows, no AC (but weather cool so ok)

Great Cabin in the Ricer

We had a big group of adults skiing for the weekend. Very cozy and comfortable place. We are repeat renters and will probably rent again!!!

Great time!

Overall experience was amazing!! We definitely want to come back for another trip. Very peaceful and relaxing! If you like the wilderness and being around woods and water then this is a place for you. The cabin does hold at least 12 people and room to spare. So big families are not exempt.

Annual christmas ski trip

We have stayed here several times while skiing Crystal Mountain. The open and spacious kitchen, dinning and tv area are our favorite place to relax with family and friends. The new upgrades are woderful and well chosen. Thank you for allowing us to rent your property and would definetly recommend this property

A beautiful place and a charming house.

It is a very nice and beautiful place - just as described. Easy check-in and check-out. We rented it for Thanksgiving and asked for an early check-in, and the owner agreed without any issues. The only problem was the temperature. When we arrived, the thermostat was set to 51F, and it felt noticeably cold. Among us were a few elderly people, for whom the first few hours were difficult until the temperature rose to 65F. The owners should set the thermostat higher before our arrival so we wouldn't have to be wrapped in blankets and quilts during Thanksgiving dinner.

Fun girls trip!

We came up here for a fun girls weekend and this was such a great spot for what we were looking for! We needed a centrally located place to traverse city and torch lake and that slept everyone comfortably and it was perfect! It wasn’t clearly listed that there was not actual AC in the cabin which was fine, it was just stuffy in the house at times especially in the basement room with no windows. Also there were lots of box fans provided however they were VERY dirty. We loved visiting the Iron Fish Distillery for dinner one evening, the living room space is wonderful for a large group to hang out as well!

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The prior reviews a read about the property were accurate, it is well appointed for large groups of people which worked out perfectly for us. The outside grounds have a lot of dirt and scrub around, which was no problem for us however, it made it difficult to, keep feet wiped off for going into the house. Especially when it rained for two days. The access point down at the river is hard to use because there isn’t a lot of room for chairs. A couple of our guests tried fishing, but we’re pretty high up off the bank for that. The property owner was very receptive to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip

This was our 3rd time staying at the property and it was great as usual. We couldn’t ski due to the weather but had no problem finding things to do in the area. The house is large enough to fit several families and a huge bedroom downstairs for the adult kids to hang out. I must say it would be nice if the furnace was WiFi and the owners could bump up the heat prior to our arrival as it was only 58 degrees in the house but it did heat up fairly quickly and was not a big deal. Thanks for having us and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future!!

Cousin's weekend

We had a group of 12 adults and we loved the open concept of the kitchen/living room space. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of seating for our whole group. Lots of comments on how comfortable the couches were. Beds were also comfortable. There were plenty of extra blankets, Pillows, towels & fans. Deck had a beautiful view of the river, and there was a nice stairstep/walkway down to the river. My 4 stars for cleanliness is due to: Outside of house appeared to not have had any spring clean up done. Grass around house was very long & lots of leaves around doorways. The deck had been cleaned off though. The Trash bins were fulls when we arrived & smelled bad, so our few trash bags really overfilled the bins. Lastly, there was a Strong odor in the basement & outside the master bedroom door (under the house fan vent). It was a damp, musty, animal urine smell. There was one humidifier running in 1 downstairs room (that we emptied several times during our stay) and windows were open downstairs also when we arrived to property. We purchased odoban, odor eliminator, to spray and had to run the "whole house fan" the entire time to minimalize the odor. We completely understand that basements can be damp, but this was a Much stronger odor. Besides these unfortunate things, we had a great time together in this Cabin, Thank you.

Betsie River house

Would have liked it to be cleaned & maintained better (cigarette butts & dirty grill, old deck & broken chair laying in weeds- toilet handle was broken in master- we fixed). Beautiful river setting- however listing should be updated to note lots of stairs, we had an age group from 19-79.

Family Paddling Fun

Our 26th Annual Family Canoe Trip was in Thompsonville on the Upper Betsie River. How fortunate for us to find this lovely cottage that was large enough to accommodate our large group--there were 17 of us. I cannot say enough nice things about how clean and organized the cottage was. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we might need. We had an infant with us and were surprised that the hosts had a booster seat, baby gate, and pack and play. Our family decided we would definitely stay here again.

Great Place - Recommend it!

The place was amazing and was a great central location to all things up north! The house was very cozy and really nice indoors despite some crappy weather! Mike was super communicative and helpful before and throughout the whole trip! Highly recommend this spot if you have a large group, we had 10 guys and everyone except two got their own bed!

Spacious riverfront Cabin

The Cabin home was very spacious and clean. They added an additional outdoor dock which was nice! Great view of river with large outdoor decking. Fishing was difficult as there really isn’t an access point into river as it’s steep and river was high in area.
