"This is an old Days Inn motel that was bought out by Wyndham. It has been remodeled and modernized. I love the fact there was still the old school air conditioning in the room and we could actually control the temperature and fan! And kudos for the simple light switch that didn’t require a card to activate. It was a clean, comfortable stay."

"Cute house in convenient location, but BEWARE the train horn at 4 a.m.! Alas this is not something anticipated and it is NOT the fault of the excellent hosts. But the house is located one block from a train crossing without gates and for 3 nights we were awakened by the loud blast of a train going through each crossing (there are about 4 of them about 2 or 3 blocks from the house). The train has to blow its horn at crossings without gates and the first night it woke us out of a dead sleep we thought it was a tornado siren. Scared us!The house itself is pet friendly, and has gorgeous wood floors, stocked kitchen and coffee bar, two tvs, a nice writing desk by the window, two bedrooms and two ac units in windows. We had the heat on for one chilly morning and it works great. Loved the front porch with all the windows overlooking the street, and there is a fenced backyard for pets/kids. Plenty of hot water for showers as well. Because it's in a neighborhood with sidewalks, it makes for a terrific walk in the morning as well. In summary, we loved the house and the location, except for the train horn waking us up."

"This place was perfect for my large family to be able to gather but still have private spaces, which can be a challenge to find when staying with your adult children. Convenient to civilization but lots to do without even leaving the house. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Clearly - these people care about the place and they stay here themselves. Very clean and well stocked. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need - including condiments, spices, oils, baggies, aluminum foil... and so on. Really good toilet paper (wish every place had this), supplies for the washer/dryer, coffee, mints etc. And the lake was much closer than the pictures suggest. Be careful - some of the rocks are pretty slippery. It was great to hear the waves at night. About the only complaint I had was the Detroil Lions grill cover. Makes me question the owners character (Daaaa Bears!)"

"Place was amazing and it was great for kids. Only concern is that 1 bedroom does not have an AC unit in it and got pretty warm for the couple that stayed in there. Other than that it was a great stay"
