"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"Clean and presentable hotel right in the heart of Barnstaple. The only reason I have dropped a star is that on a warm summer evening the rooms (no a/c) do get very stuffy even with the window wide open and the fan on. The extractor fan noise from outside then doesn’t help when you’re already struggling to sleep. The restaurant is absolutely amazing!"

"My wife and I are active octogenarians.This is an excellent hotel for us, for a short break. The staff are genuinely friendly and the decor comfortably slightly old fashioned or traditional. Family group of hotels, well run. Parking adequate but note to reserve if you have blue badge. Food is excellent and breakfasts are brilliant, the menu extensive. This nice hotel is a favourite with us more mature Devonians. Enjoy! Ps. Very clean and ensuite bathroom very good."

The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. "A peaceful and well presented little holiday park. The grounds are really well looked after. The bungalows have everything you need for a comfortable stay. For a family of 5 and a dog it was perfect for us. Also has 2x fished small lakes , a secure dog paddock aswell as free roaming chickens with fresh eggs also rabbits and goats and 2 x tortoise. Well positioned too only 20 min drive to Bude Beach which was fantastic. 100% would stay again. Thank you Lisa & Paul."
