Top Three Island Crossing State Park Hotel Reviews
Hilander Motel
6/10 Okay
"You get what you pay for. The room was inexpensive for one night in town. It was clean for the most part, but you can see and smell how old and outdated everything is. The sink and bathroom were the only things updated. The AC unit we had, had a big whole in it and we didn't dare turn it on. Furniture as also in disrepair, carpet had stains everywhere. One bed had extra blankets and padding while the other didn't. At least the beds felt clean.
The staff was very kind and check-in was very fast. Plenty of parking. This place desperately needs an update, but if you need a very quick place to rest your head for cheap, probably okay. "
"It’s super windy here, like all of the time. There are signs on the doors telling you to hang onto them.
The parking lot is very uneven and poorly maintained. The building is quite old and the walls are very thin.
The doors are flimsy, locks very cheap —I didn’t trust all three of them—and it had like an actual key. No keyed exterior access, anyone can walk into the building at any time.
The beds were comfy and it was cheap, but you might wanna sleep with your pew pew handy.
The check in dude was nice, but there was no coffee in the morning and no one at the front desk. "

10/10 Excellent
"This place is charming and very inviting. The beds are comfortable and there is a nice kitchen and a laundry-room. The town is so convenient, grocery store, places to eat all within walking distance. It was a quiet part of town that was friendly and felt safe and comfortable. The host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend. "
"My stay was very pleasant. The motel staff was really friendly and helpful and I checked in with ease. The room was clean and well maintained. I would definitely come here again."
