For tacos, Tijuana and Rosarito are just a short drive away and home to some of the best taquerias in all of Mexico, alongside Tijuana's world-famous Baja Med food scene.
Just 20 minutes north is Tijuana, with its rich culture, sports, concerts, museums, and a growing food, tequila, and microbrewery scene. Rosarito Beach is 10 minutes south, offering gorgeous beaches, restaurants, and shops.
Worth the drive: Ensenada is about an hour south, home to whale-watching cruises and gateway to the Valle de Guadalupe wine region — including Cañón de Guadalupe, known for waterfall rappelling, rock climbing, and hiking. This home is just three blocks from the ocean, in a safe and gated community between Tijuana and Rosarito, 20 minutes south of the US border. Guests have access to two community swimming pools with tennis courts (4 and 6 blocks from the house) and a three-acre park just 2 blocks away.

Originally a two-story family home, this gem was built and expanded over the years to include courtyard gardens and a large roof terrace. The house was later subdivided into four separate apartments, which now function as individual rentals.

This upper-level studio has one bathroom, a dining room, and a living room with a queen bed and sofa bed. The exterior common areas, rooftop terrace, and garden patio within the home's walls total 1,500 square feet.

Striking artistic features include stained glass windows, beautiful wall art, custom wrought-iron stair railings and handrails, hand-laid pebble tile on the stairway, gorgeous chandeliers and antique light fixtures, and vibrant murals on the rooftop deck and garage door.

The house has fiber optic, high-speed WiFi up to 500 mbps.

Rooftop: The huge rooftop deck has a BBQ grill, fire pit, and beautiful sunset views over the ocean. The showstopper is our galactic whale mural, swimming through bioluminescent seas — painted by street artist Dual Hem. Gather here for evening cocktails, a bonfire, or a night of stargazing.

Kitchen/Dining: The fully equipped kitchen features elegant wood-look flooring, modern appliances, a gas range, full-size refrigerator, pantry, and plenty of cabinet storage.

Garden Terrace: A shaded side patio with ocean views, landscaped with flowers and herbs — a serene spot for morning coffee among frangipani and pineapple sage.

Bedroom/Bathroom: A queen bed and sofa bed in the living room, plus a bathroom with a shower. Note: the community pool has public toilets and showers.

Garage: Reserve the one-car garage for $20/night (advance request required) — decorated with a vibrant seaweed-and-aquatic-life mural by local artist Carlos Delgado.

Golf: Real Del Mar's 18-hole course sits just across the community's north entrance. Baja Mar's cliffside 27-hole course is a scenic 45-minute drive north of Ensenada.

Having a car is highly recommended to get around the area. Private taxis will also pick up and drop off within San Antonio del Mar — just ask the security guard at the entrance for a trusted driver recommendation.

A few house policies to help your stay go smoothly:
1. Pets: We're unable to accommodate pets. A $350 USD fine applies if pets are brought without prior approval.
2. Smoking: This is a non-smoking property. A $250 USD fine applies for smoking anywhere on the premises.
3. Pool access card: Please return the pool card at checkout — a $50 USD fee applies if it's not returned.
4. Quiet hours: 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, out of respect for our neighbors in this residential community.
5. Early check-in / late check-out: Available for $25 USD each, subject to availability — just request in advance.
6. Security cameras: For everyone's safety and privacy, exterior security cameras are in place. Please don't cover or tamper with them.
7. Check-in procedure: Guests register with the guard at the gatehouse, leave a driver's license, and receive a temporary parking pass — simply return the pass to retrieve your ID.
8. Community security: This is a gated community with 24/7 guards patrolling and stationed at both the north and south entrances.
