We had a very fun and comfy stay on this truly unique island. Be ready for rustic and funky fun! The kitchen had everything we needed. Great gas grill. The screened in porch was one of our fav places to sit. We had a great time going back and forth between the sunrise and sunset beaches. We are so excited for our next opportunity to stay here.

Beautiful , peaceful, amazing place for kids, family, all around extremely happy.
We had the best weekend on this private island! But there were a few tradeoffs to renting such a unique property. The boat launch had very limited hours, so we had some issues with getting out boat in the water. Also, make sure you bring plenty of jugs of water with you since the water on the island is not good to drink. Additionally, there is no place to dock your own boat that is not on the island, which causes some issues for getting off the island to go to the store. So there were a few hiccups, but we still loved our stay and would consider returning!

Price was high
The owner were very nice, the house needs a lot of work, we went to close the window and a pane of glass fell out no one was hurt ,there were 7 of us 1 standing board 1 kayak 1 tube not inflated had to buy a pump turns out it had a hole in it.the kitchen needs a nice big cast iron cooking skillet, we had to go buy one.all in all we had a good time.
Great time spent with family. We were surprised to find a huge fridge. The 1920’s property is charming , with a lovely fireplace. The huge porch is amazing, even when it rained we still had a great time.
This place is awesome plain and simple. Beautiful views, every amenity you could ask for, owners are super nice. We didn’t even have a boat but wasn’t an issue at all as they had cayaks, a paddle boat, paddle board, and tons of tubes to float around the island on. Probably the hottest fishing spot on the lake is right off this islands dock as well. Everything I could’ve hoped for and more. Would have given it 6 stars if I could.
Having an island of several acres to yourself is a great way to spend time with close family. Fishing from the shore or boat produced bluegill, crappie and large mouth bass. The property is older so dont expect a fully renovated cabin. The screened in porch is huge. There was no air-conditioning, but the canopy of trees and the breeze that comes from being in the middle of a lake helped keep things cool even when in the 90s. For those who need their own bathroom, this may not be for you. You access the full bath through one of 2 bedrooms. There is also a toilet room just outside and a shower located just off the screened in porch. No tv, no wifi, and you're in the middle of nowhere so you may or may not have a cell signal. But thats not why youre going to vacation on an island isolated from the rest of the world.
We will likely stay here again.
Everything about are experience was above expectations. The host was fast and friendly when communicating. The cabin and island were better than we could have ever expected. I wish I could just live here.

Great vintage getaway~
What a secluded vintage treasure of a unique cottage. Lots of areas to relax/read/zen/swim, or watch the boats go by pulling kids on their water toys. Beds are comfy and lots of kitchen amenities stocked for large parties…..they have it all~ There are many unique items to admire throughout the property. PLEASE BE GENTLE ON THIS WELL CARED FOR COTTAGE. There is no WiFi, but cell service is excellent! The checkin process is unique, so please be patient!! You will love the hospitality!! We will be back!
The cabin, the property, the many decks, and the many other hidden gems on this island was impressive. I would book again. However, there was certain things that did not correspond to the online listing. For example, no dvd and no wireless, but those did not detrail the beauty and experience more like small technicalities.
Love the private, relaxed environment. Sun porch was grand and amazing. It's a very unique property. We even got to watch fireworks twice from our own island. Owner was helpful. It is a little climb up to the house but we enjoyed the exercise. It wouldn't work for someone that's not mobile. But we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Private Island Getaway
The vacation rental is different than your normal getaway. First off the obvious. It's on a 2.5 acre island so you have full privacy and you need a boat to get there with your belongings. The island is well maintained and its rustic and old feel make it unique. There is a campfire site at the lower end of the island, a large patio at the top end and a nice seating area out on the dock.
The house is an older build with no central air or heating but we managed knowing this beforehand. The kitchen is a good size and has all the equipment and kitchen supplies needed for the weekend. There is a large summer room and where the dining table is. The bathrooms were a little small and are older and didnt have locks on the doors which we were able to deal with.
Overall, it was a good experience as the owner was very friendly and accomadating and helped us get settled and comfortable.
