Amazing Place - Will Book Again!!!

If you are going to Shaver Lake or staying/camping anywhere near the Sierra National Forest, look no further, you need to book the Toll house Cottage. The Cottage is perfect, it's clean, has plenty of parking, and is right next to a Family restaurant and Market! The host is great, he communicates very well, super nice, and the hospitality was second to none. Overall I loved my stay here and will be returning again!

Away from the bustle of town but convenient

This cabin is wonderful. It had all of the necessities and a few touches that made it homey and comfortable. Right next door is the owners market and grill. It has great food and everyone treats you kindly. I love that this cabin is pet friendly (the owner, Peter, has a heart for animals himself). I look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful little house

My family and I stayed at this beautiful little cottage house, its cozyness made us feel home. We loved the nights hearing all the animals in the rural area. Peter was amazingly helpful. We will definitely be back in the future.

Very spacious!

I stayed here for a quick snowboarding trip with my son and a few friends who just turned 18. The floor plan was spacious and perfect for what I was looking for as a quick stopping point between snow days. Even though it was an hour to and from China Peak it was worth it to have a quiet place to cook and sleep. Not to mention the host was great! Very communicative and responded right away. I would rebook this place again.

Throwback to the olden days

The building is over 100 years old, so sloping floors are expected! That’s part of the charm! Peter has updated the house, so it’s functional and really comfortable. We enjoyed the time in Tollhouse.

Just stayed here this pas weekend with my family and the owner was super nice and very good at communicating with us we even invited him to eat with us the house is super spacious and very clean and nice has everything u might need when on a trip definitely will be coming back here and booking with him he left us check in more early and check out more late overall 10/10 really recommend.

As you walk in the home it feels cozy with a good amount of space. From the kitchen and dining area you could see there is a small creek passing by. There is a store/restaurant near by the home. Great place

This is a beautiful cottage and is definitely country style living. Having lived in rural areas before with older homes, it was exactly as I expected and would definitely go back. The market next door was perfect and I wish I had more time there.

Home way from home

Very comfortable! Peter had everything you could possibly want to be offered. Right next door the serve pizza, pasta, breakfast, drinks, snacks. We will definitely be coming back. Definitely recommend.
