"This was an amazing stay. Renee is a great host. She is clean, personable, and professional. The home is very cozy, and while still a work in progress, the outdoor area is beautiful and teeming with potential. This is not a hotel or a motel, understanding this, do not expect the starchy atmosphere of those places, but instead appreciate the friendly, homely vibe. If you’re looking for somewhere reasonably priced, clean, and cozy, this is a great spot."

"Stunning property! We went for an overnight stay, Yale University tour. The hotel is near everything. The coffee bar was delicious, lots of options too. The lobby and rooms beautiful and unique. "
Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection By Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Okay, not going to lie, when my husband and I pulled up to this hotel I had to double check that we were at the right address. The outside of the hotel looks like it could’ve been an old prison, and it’s literally in the same parking lot as an IKEA and overlooks an express way.
However - don’t judge a book by its cover. This hotel is amazing and probably one of the nicer hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The inside is extremely modern, clean, well kept, and beautiful. The room was spacious and extremely clean. Best bathroom and shower. The room is controlled by a smart device so you can operate the lights, A/C, etc easily. Smart TV has streaming apps. And lots of outlets, USB ports, etc.
Great lobby bar and restaurant as well.
Location about 5-10 minute drive or bike ride (hotel offers free bike rentals) from main New Haven attractions."
