We have been staying at this hotel for roughly 20 years, ever since we moved away from the shore. It has deteriorated a great deal since it was a Holiday Inn. The staff is fine but I suspect the current owners are OK just coasting with the current conditions. The fitness room and pool remain high points. So are the free parking and good location near the beaches and downtown Toms River. The price was very reasonable for early summer. In our room, the main room curtains were ripped, as was the shower curtain. No heat lamp in the bathroom and not much room for one’s toiletries. Need more electrical and USB charging outlets - not really updated for travelers’ multiple devices. Depending on your needs it might get the job done cheaply— or not.
