Thank you for your review. Sunday afternoon we sometimes take opportunity to spend with our family. The kiosk is a great way for Motel owners to have a break away from reception yet still able to offer immediate service via intercom. We have been to many motels and apartments on the gold and sunshine coast over the years and many leave the key in a keysafe box. It has been an option for years and we believe it will increase in the future as checkin Kiosk are in demand with the increase in technology - moteliers enjoy a break away from the Motel office on a sunday afternoon the same as anyone who owns a business. Office is generally always attended on a sunday afternoon, although we had family matters this last sunday, we have a hi-tech checkin kiosk to enable quick and easy keydrop for our guests. With technology today, these options will increase as the years pass. This transaction would have been so much easier had wotif not automatically updated settings where a guest does not place their credit card details. This lady was instantly attended to, her credit card processed and key was dispatched for her. It is hard to cater for all dietry requirements as people all have their different requirements. We have a cafe beside us and also across the road who cater for most dietry options. We offer a complimentary free breakfast to help our guests get back on the road. Guests are welcome to bring any of their own dietry options along with our juices and some fruit. This lady was welcomed with open arms.

This was through peak period of Carnival and this guest booked one of the few older rooms we have, but we certainly take pride in our cleaning and never had anyone complain to the extent this person has. This guest was in fact 'sour' and 'gruff' and with our initial accommodating, could not make them smile. The room stunk of their bad habits and we were on the verge of phoning Police. The Motel has recently been fully rendered and painted externally into a new-look design, 3/4 of our rooms have been completely renovated into modern kitchenette rooms with disable friendly grab bars in bathroom areas. All areas, including walkways, balcony, roof have all been freshly painted and the Motel looks lovely and fresh. We have also re-designed and landscaped the Motel grounds and increased parking for large vehicles, trailers etc. We work very hard and take pride in cleanliness and continually receive positive feedback from our many thousands of happy and satisfied guests who stay with us each year. We continue to strive for excellence and Allan Cunningham Motel has been re-modernised into a wonderful place to stay with our friendly staff available to assist our guests. We offer Complimentary Breakfast in our new look dining area to allow our guests to eat before making way for their day, we offer very comfortable beds where guests stop at the reception door and repeat time and time again - "what a wonderful rest we had". We also understand a small percentage of people simply love to criticize and bring down a good business, but we strive forward and continue to offer our guests a service in which to make their stay relaxing and trouble-free.

We would advise to check your bookings. If you booked 2 spa suites, that is what the booking grid displays. most will check to be sure they are booking a room they require. You were disappointed because you thought you booked 2 spa suites, clearly you did not - and when a guest is disappointed they go all out to belittle a good business. Individual rooms have their own illustrations and details of the rooms. Advice: check you have booked correctly. Clearly according to your online booking as room types are very clear - you booked 2 standard rooms. You did not book any spa rooms.

These guests were immediately reported to Expedia and requested that they be blacklisted from our Motel. Other guests in the office who witnessed their display made remarks against the woman about her conduct when she left the office, feeling sorry for the receptionist on duty. Our staff made no demands, we requested no different than standard policies - many Motels and apartments process a $200 deposit as security on top of the accommodation payment ahead in case of damages - often debit cards are faulty and guests walking out without payment made. The only reason our staff apologized was because they threatened against our Motel after their rude demands in front of other guests, our decision to sort some kind of peace amidst their unruly conduct, they created a very awkward unusual encounter. They were extremely arrogant, disrespectful and rude people making demands that were out of place. These guests were initially given a very warm welcome but the woman’s face and response said it all, - her performance in reception was demanding and disgraceful. There are a very minimal few who will attempt to desecrate a business, these guests were unfortunately vindictive and extremely nasty people – 95% or more of our guests are wonderful, friendly people. We had a full Motel with so many coming to reception thanking us for a great stay. These poor people created a situation that became extremely awkward to fix. We provide a Complimentary Breakfast that the majority appreciate very much. This breakfast is a bonus for our guests. The response we receive from the Hot Pancakes is overwhelming and wonderful.
