We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. "We requested an upgrade to a delux double room, we also requested to have well done bacon and this was granted for breakfast as the ones provided were not as we would have liked. Staff were very very helpful staff, spa staff lovely and helpful. Reception staff lovely, first impression great. Bar staff great. Evening meal lovely food and staff great, this is the second time we've stayed at the Imperial, I do recommend it and would stay again. They are refurbishing the hotel so some areas done and and a lot more to do as a very large hotel, pool is lovely, steam and jacuzzi amazing. So yes all amazing. All good. Nice place to stay."

"Staff were really friendly, hotel was very cosy , clean and close to the town. It has lovely views of the estuary from the upper floors. The spa was very clean; the pool was a decent size as were the sauna and steam rooms. We had dinner in the restaurant. However, when ordering, there were some things on the menu that were no longer available. For a hotel of this size, this should not happen! The prices were rather inflated. There was a set menu that guests who had an inclusive rate could use, however, we did not have this option and so had to order from the a la carte offering. The inclusive continental breakfast was good, with a good choice of items."
