"Great all around. Staff is super nice and friendly. Very attentive. Two things I would fix. 1) air conditioning is not strong enough. 2) Allegra restaurant closed two days in a row can create instance where guests staying for two nights cannot eat there AND also closed on same nights as neighboring restaurants. "A wonderful hotel in a peaceful setting along the river. A fantastic choice to escape the noise and crowds of tourists in the major cities visited. Hotel is very conveniently located to visit Rioja's best bodegas. Staff are lovely and most helpful in arranging tours. Hotel has one minor deficiency in a curiously noisy plumbing system."

Parador de Santo Domingo was an unexpected gem!

"Went during pilgrimage and loved this Parador. So close to everything and so quaint. We did the Camino de Santiago, St. James original, and without knowing, this was on the Camino. Loved seeing all the Peregrinos. Staff was super friendly. Left my adapter in last hotel, and they even had a US adapter for me. Will definitely be back when I do the Camino."

"First, you must have a car if you plan to stay in Haro. Transportation, including taxis, are extremely limited and difficult to use. This fact is even more so if you stay at Hotel ITC Ciudad de Haro. This hotel is about a 25-minute walk uphill to the downtown area and you must cross a highway, which we were told multiple times is officially illegal. If you do have a car, this hotel is perfectly fine for a few nights, especially if you consider the cost. It is a great value. That said, don't expect a four star hotel. As others have noted, the hotel is old and has some deferred maintenance issues. Likewise, the WiFi is extremely slow so don't expect to stream anything or make WiFi calls. Finally, the staff at the hotel are wonderful. They were always helpful and attentive. Enjoy!"
