"I recently stayed at Cambridge Suites in Toronto and had mixed feelings. The biggest drawback is the condition of the rooms. They feel quite dated, especially the shower and overall setup. The room was as clean as it could be, but you can only do so much with something that old. It just did not feel like good value for the price.
The lobby is very small and was consistently crowded, which made the experience feel a bit hectic and not very welcoming. Check-in also took longer than expected, though I will say the staff were friendly and pleasant throughout.
The location is definitely a strong point. It is very close to Massey Hall, Dundas, and other downtown spots, which made getting around easy.
One downside was that the restaurant and bar were closed, which limited options on-site.
Overall, I understand that downtown hotel prices are high right now, but this felt too expensive for what it offers. I would not stay here again or recommend it. That said, I do not regret my stay, it just did not meet expectations."
