My stay at the W Hotel overall was a mixed experience. The location is excellent, with Yorkville just a short walk away, offering great shopping and fine dining options. Inside the hotel, I was impressed with the modern décor and cleanliness of the room. The in-room coffee was a nice touch for starting the mornings. However, there were a few drawbacks. The soundproofing in the rooms was quite poor; I could hear my neighbors (both sides) very clearly, including their conversations, music, and even their bathroom activities. The most disappointing aspect was the last night of our stay. The hotel hosted a private ticketed event on the 6th floor lobby, which rendered the lobby and its restaurant unavailable to guests. There was no prior warning about this event, leaving us without a place to meet friends as previously planned. The music from the event was extremely loud, continuing until 2 AM and the base from the music rattled our beds and windows, making it impossible to sleep. When we complained at midnight, we were told we could change rooms, but at that late hour, it was not a feasible solution. Given that we paid over $400 per night, this was a very disappointing way to end our stay, leaving us exhausted the following day. It would have been helpful if the hotel had provided prior notice of the event and offered earplugs to guests to help mitigate the noise issue. Overall, enjoyable, but I will stay elsewhere next time.

I checked in early before my room was available to drop off several luggages, then went out for the afternoon-evening. When I returned, the staff had already brought all my luggage to my room! Absolutely stellar service
