It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. "The Vintage House is a beautiful hotel located conveniently on the banks of the Douro River where the tour boats depart. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire hotel ,pool and grounds are wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the dining staff on the outdoor terrace provided very attentive service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the menu for lunch and dinner had a great selection of food & wine. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would highly recommend it to others."

Pool area is great with a well maintained toilet/changing/shower block next to it and the views are amazing. We didn't go out in the evening, just had lovely meals on the terrace, but Pinhao is only a ten minute drive. Easy to find with Google maps 👍"

"Nice place in historic town. Room was large, clean, and bed was comfortable. Town is walkable, I walked from the bus stop. The hotel has a restaurant and the breakfast is nice, they set up a taxi service and they were nice. I did use cash in town and for the taxi which was appreciated. Everyone was so nice even though I didn't speak Portuguese."
