Excellent facilities and friendly staff
We had a great family stay at Hotel Mediterráneo Carihuela. Check-in was quick and friendly and the location is central with no noise on an evening. We would definitely return.

The stuff was excellent and very knowledgeable towards any questions you might have. They also try recommend other options what things you should take which benefit the visitors and the guests. Everyone is professional meaning the stuff.

My poor review is because our room was drenched due to the bathroom upstairs flooding. All our clothes were drenched which we had to hang all over the room and balcony. The leak was fixed quickly after we told them as water was everywhere, but at no stage did the management come afterwards to find out if we were ok,if any of our clothes needed cleaning,to ask if we wanted to move, etc. The receptionists were totally disinterested. The hotel is very very basic and outdated. No kettle and zero english tv channel. It is central and the balcony (extra cost) does directly overlook the beach,so those are the good points.

Great location.. friendly staff.. but not a 3 * more a 1*.. absolutely no amenities..no hair drier in room.. no long mirror for evening dress.. no bar. In deaperate need of revamp...

Dont trust them
Well I couldn’t get there pandemic and flights cancelled. I hoped for a refund which I didn’t get but what annoyed me is the fact the hotel has refused to communicate with me I offered to move the stay even a polite emails saying sorry but not would have been nice. They will have no doubt re sold my room I hope Karma bites them and hopefully they will soon go bust:

Dear guest, Due to the global pandemic around the world, The hotel closed its doors from mid March 2020 until 02nd July 2020 when borders are able to Tourism. Now we have just reopen our doors and we welcome to all our guests and friends again We are very disappointed and we wonder how did you could cross the border just for Tourism when everybody makes an effort to get it over together

sea view room was great and being able to walk straight into a street full of superb restaurants was brilliant. the hotel is situated in a lovely area and walking to either torremolinos or benalmádena is no problem at all

Nothing short of great
Only stayed or a short weekend and can honestly say it was a fantastic stay. It was clean, comfortable and the price we paid was fantastic, especially for such a great central location. If you're on a budget and want clean and comfortable i can't recommend this hotel enough. When we next go back, we would look to re-book.
