La Mata is a great mellow town to make your home base with great restaurants and a couple markets right down the boardwalk. It’s not super fancy, so don’t expect the four seasons, but it’s a great place to stay, highly recommend. "

"Por fuera todo pinta bien, cuando entra en el hall sigue todo pero al pedir las llaves, el muchacho me dice que hay que esperar las 17h00 para poder tenerlas. Pero bueno, da igual, mientras tanto vamos a la playa. Al regresar, nos dan las "ansiadas" llaves. Al entrar en la habitación, descubrimos una sala blanca con cuatro camas de una plaza (dos de ellas juntadas) y nada más. No hay ni mesita de noche, ni tele ni nada. La ventana está podrida por la húmedad. El aire acondicionado está bloqueado...

Wonderful holiday home near the beach and the city

"This is a gem of a villa with an excellent little pool. It’s about a 25/30 minute walk into the main beachfront area with all the restaurants but there is a quieter beach with some bars and restaurants 10 minutes walk away. The facilities are excellent and there is a great outdoor kitchen. Hans is a super host, picked us up from the airport for a very reasonable transfer price, gave us a short guided tour of the area then as we were early and the villa was still being cleaned dropped us off at a local shopping centre so we could get a bite to eat and some shopping in, then picked us back up when the villa was ready. Thanks Hans will definitely think about coming back. "

"I have just returned home from an 11 day trip to Torrevieja. I stayed at Hotel Cano again because I like this Hotel very much. It is clean, friendly and convenient to shops, transport facilities and near enough to walk to the seafront.. I took breakfast at the hotel every morning. The coffee is delicious, the toasted bread is served with ham and cheese or a an option of butter and jam. Plus you can have fruit juice and cakes. . All the staff are friendly and helpful if you need information. I will always choose this hotel when I return to Torrevieja, because, as a lone older female traveller, I feel completely safe and cared for here, and will always choose to stay here if I return to Torrevieja. A big thank you to everyone. 😍"
