Holiday Homes in Tors Cove

"We loved our stay at Cliffs Edge Retreat! It is a beautiful ocean side resort with its main lodge and restaurant (Forager) and collection of cottages. It is conveniently located around 45 minutes from St. John's and only 30 minutes from Ferryland. We stayed in the main lodge in an ocean view studio suite, which was modern and beautifully decorated. The full kitchen was very well equipped, which we appreciated as we prepared several meals during our two night stay. Our end unit suite (L12) was located across from the laundry room and next to the exit door to the outdoor sauna, so we did hear some noise at times, but it wasn't too bothersome. Our balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean, but it was partially obstructed by one of the oceanfront cottages across the road. Suites L5, L7 and L9 would likely have the best balcony views and are located far enough away from the entrance doors on both ends of the hallway. There is a limited menu at the Forager Restaurant (which you will walk past to access your room). We didn't have a meal there, but their baked goods and coffee were excellent."

"Hot tub was good. Not powerful enough for me tho lol didnt seem like the jets were strong. Next time we'll do the bigger suit for the bigger hot tub. Personally i likes to have a tv in the room cuz the little google screens are so tiny. Its just how i like to relax is all. The hostess was AMAZING!!! She chatted with us like shes known us for yrs!! Very sweet friendly lady. Id recommend the whale house guest house to allmy friend's and family. We're looking forward to returning there another yr. "

"We were met at the property by Bob the host and he spent a lot of time with us showing us around and explaining what was available locally. Very helpful and much appreciated. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you could need. Also there were a lot of basic food items so check in before you shop! The village restaurant is very good and just a few minutes walk away. The nearest supermarket is aout a 10 min drive as is the fresh sea food store. The harbour is very scenic and a great area for a stroll. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay. Many thanks Bob. Brenda and Robin, Ontario"
