Hotel was a bit dated but was clean. Room was big enough for three. But do note that there is no shower in the room so we had to use the public bathroom on level 1. View of lake from the room was amazing.

This is an older hotel, and it has its charm. Japanesd style rooms and also common bath area at the basement. Staff were very helpful, one even parked my car, and have English explanation especially for the protocol to use the public bath. Right by the lakeside, and we have a room with great view of lake and mountain. Did not eat there as it was an over nighter for us. Good place to experience onsen, Japanese style room, reminding me of ryokans.

Value for money and good service
Our family of 4 stayed in a very comfortable spacious room. Really incredible that its so spacious. The hotel is really value for money. They were very generous with their food, their amenities and though the onsen is not as big as those very big hotels, I like the privacy and its comfortable enough for our one night stay. The lady serving us our breakfast was very polite and sincere. She also taught us some Japanese meal customs. It can be seen that that food was prepared with dedication. We enjoyed both the breakfast and dinner. Thanks for the good service.

Very close to the bus station. Good onsen. Great dinner and breakfast. Nice staff. Area was nice. Room view was majestic. 10a checkout time was kind of too early. Free luggage storage only until12p. Hallway smelled bad like someone smoked there.

A night with firework
Excellent location and friendly staff. The hotel is a bit old, yet it is comfortable. It is good to see the firework inside the room (first 10 mins of the show).

Extremely Disappointed- bus parking outside window
After reading the review, I was looking forward to a nice lake view room. Therefore, I was extremely disappointed when the room allocated to us was 1st floor and facing bus parking instead of lake view:( Well, the onsen was good as in others’ review.

The staff was great and very helpful with everything. The big barthroom opens 24hrs. Breakfast though was just a bit too simple but overall it’s quite alright

Nice Lake View
One of the best location hotel we stayed. Absolute lake view. Room was clean. Room size was good, considered Japanese standard. Stroll along the lake and watch fire works. Hot spring was decent, though preferred more space. Japanese room has no bathroom, only toilet. Only way to bath is to go public hot spring. Compared to other hotels in Japan, the front office staff were relatively less friendly (by Japanese standard).

Dirty & smelly hotel
This hotel is too old and really need a major uplift! We can smell the kitchen cooking just outside our room. More horrible, the toilet has urine smell which means it was not properly clean before we check-in. The Onsen, oh my god is so dirty and poorly maintained. This is not even a 3 star rating hotel!!

Old Hotel but cosy..
Booked a 2 person room wrongly as i am travelling with a family but the staff are gracious to allow us to stay in the same room but wiht additional charges. Dinner and breakfast was average. The hotel looks old and the warm water in the onsen (male) was not warm at all. The room we had face the lake and the view was stunning even though it was snowing.

The staff were particularly strict about how you park your car (probably from the lack of space) and we got a little annoyed. They did explained step by step how to go into an onsen so it's good for first timers. The onsen was a little on the small side and gets somewhat crowded. Not sure if it's natural but their water was green? Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and breakfast spread. The room was of decent sized but could not seem to heat up, luckily the bed covers were thick enough.

Big room but old hotel
It's an old hotel. The room is big and clean... Unfortunately, we were given a room on 1st floor and the view of Lake Toya was blocked by the bus parking behind as well as the trees. The hotel location is not so good as it was the 1st hotel on the street. Can hardly see the fireworks show until the end... The onsen is good. The hotel didn't provide the luggage storage service after checking out, charges incurred if you want to store the luggae.

Basic onsen stay. The location of the hotel is right beside ferry terminal. It is also the start point of fireworks at night. Can view from room if higher than level 2

Small room, if you do not mind to share bathroom with stranger which is very good n very japannese feel, the room only have a tidy basin n toilet bowl, outdoor onsen a bit old. Nice view facing the lake n easy to walk around.

Old hotel with good service
We stayed in a spacious Japanese-style room. Breakfast and dinner consist of a variety of dishes but quality was so-so. Staff were very helpful and would run out to direct us to park our car whenever we returned. Room did not have attached bathroom and we had to shower at the hotel onsen. The fireworks display could be seen from the lakeside which is a short walk from the hotel.

The hotel is tired and facilities are poor. The room was basic, clean but not sound proof. the location is good by the toya lake and the onsite onsen is okay. Overall the value is okay as it was cheap.

Slightly older ryokan at one end of Lake Toya
Check-in service felt slightly cold and unfriendly as the hotel staff reminded us at the counter to "not roll our luggage bags in the room as the flooring is tatami", in a rather stark manner. Perhaps they could have chosen to show us to our room and explain to us subtly at that point. The ryokan itself is slightly old and worn-out, but maintained as best as possible. The onsen is functional but nothing fantastic. Our room featured a washroom which is just sufficient and nothing close to spacious. The unfortunate location of this ryokan at one end of Lake Toya means that the nightly fireworks at 8.45pm (which runs until the end of Oct 2015), might not be best viewed from the room of this hotel. However, it is near to a convenience store Seico Mart outside the hotel. During our stay, the hotel was booked by a tour group from Thailand, and the sounds of children running thru the corridors could be clearly heard from the room due to the thin walls and door.

Great Japanese onsen experience.
Great place to stay for a more authentic Japanese onsen experience. We stayed here and drove to Niseko for skiing (about an hour drive). Good price, fantastic outdoor onsen, authentic tatami room but futons were very comfortable. Friendly helpful staff with good English. Our room had a toilet and sink but all bathing is done in the onsen in which clothing is not allowed. If you're too shy to be nude among other hotel guests you will not be able to shower! Would recommend to friends.

1st time to Hokkaido-Lake Toya
our room is facing right infront Lake Toya very nice scene especically during winter time.Road is cover with snow. 1st time for my kids to sleep on Tatami,they love it.Room is very spacious only the toilet a bit too small. The dinner & breakfast is super delicious.Too bad we only stay for 1 night didnt have enought time to walk around. Would like to visit & stay here again.

客室は清潔でしたが、お風呂と脱衣所の間のスペースがカビ臭く、お風呂も内湯は何となく汚い感じでした。露天風呂は良かったです。 食事は、地元の新鮮な野菜や魚介を使った料理を期待していましたが、地産地消という感じはなく、スーパーのお惣菜レベルで野菜も少なかった。 品数は多かったけど、どれも美味しい訳ではなくて、食事にはかなりがっかり。 品数は少なくても、味とクオリティにこだわりが欲しかったです。 立地の割に安価ですが、古くてもお風呂の清潔感とお料理に力が入っていれば良いのにと思いました。
