"Really interesting Art Deco hotel in great condition. Lovely breakfast. Good bathroom and shower, comfy bed, nice and quiet. Friendly staff. Restaurant service was superb but food was a bit expensive and not to our taste - although that may be us rather than the food itself. There's a great little wine bar opposite that was wonderful for an afternoon of quaffing. I'd definitely return, given the chance."

"We made a last minute reservation, looking forward to staying along the Mosel River, and were thoroughly pleased with this inexpensive, charming hotel. Our dinner in their dining room and the breakfast the next morning were excellent. The reception staff recommended that we explore the downtown area and the Bruckentor (old bridge gate), and especially the harrowing but rewarding trip up to the Ruine Grevenburg (castle ruins), and it was unforgettable. "First of all, no one helped me with the luggage. There is no left and I had a room in 2nd floor. The towels was toddlers size and hair dryer is terrible. It is 4 star hotel and it’s supposed to has a tv at least not a 23 inch gaming monitor. There’s no fridge or mini bar and it is 4 stars!!!! The room was quite dusty. "Hotel ist zu Fuß schlecht zu erreichen, da der Weg an der Landstraße sehr unübersichtlich und gefährlich ist. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Allerdings sind die Zimmer und Möbel mittlerweile renoviert, bzw. neu. Das Bad war alt, aber sauber. Leider ohne Heizkörper. Ferner war die Nachtspeicherheizung im Zimmer aus den 60er Jahren und bestimmt nicht mehr ökologisch vertretbar. Das Treppenhaus und die Flure waren renovierungsbedürftig. "Had a great stay at the Sporthotel. The facilities are excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. The weather wasn’t great, but there was so much to do indoors that nobody was bored - tennis, table tennis, billiard, swimming pool, saunas, and a good gym! When the weather was good, we visited the volcanic lakes in the area - the autumn colours of the trees around were amazing in the sunshine. We loved the breakfast buffet which had a great variety of food on offer, and we also enjoyed the one evening meal we took. All in all, a really nice stay at Sporthotel Grafenwald!"
