Welcome to Heavensent, our beloved family tiny home nestled in the woods, with a lake view of the beautiful Tracy City right on top of Monteagle Mountain.

The Retreat at Water’s Edge is a tiny-home community 20 minutes from The University of the South, better known as Sewanee. A short trip to Chattanooga or Nashville, close to lots of lookouts, great restaurants, hiking trails, caverns, and Jack Daniel’s Distillery—Tennessee at its best!

Awesome tiny home

Stayed one night to go to a concert at the caverns. The home was quaint and comfortable. She even decorated for Christmas. It was a great place. I’d love to go back when we can stay longer.

Peaceful Get Away

Charming setting and accommodations for one or two people. As long as you don’t have much luggage (and I did not have much), it’s great for a getaway. Extremely clean and well appointed. Lovely owners.

Perfect getaway

We had a very relaxing time. We enjoyed exploring Tracy City and Monteagle and we attended a concert at the Caverns. The house was just as the pictures showed. Very clean and cozy. We would definitely stay here again when in the area!!!

Here for the Hiking

Great location for access to Grundy Forest and Fiery Gizzard trails. Place is super cute and comfortable and host was very responsive. Will be looking at location again when back for more hiking adventures in the area. Had wished lakefront was slightly more accessible.

Perfect little getaway

This tiny was just the right size for a weekend away without the kids. We hiked in the area, enjoyed the quaint community, and relaxed at the community dock at the lake. Beautiful, serene setting for birdwatching as well. We saw hummingbirds, bluebirds and so many woodpeckers! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay

My daughter and I stayed in this rental for her birthday. She wanted to do a Halloween movie night and “go stay somewhere.” This house is adorable and close to home for us. It was sparkling clean and perfect for what we needed. We loved being able to sit outside.

Great location!

Cute house! Perfect for 3 and wonderful location! Needs a good deep cleaning to clear spider webs, dust and scuff marks throughout. But those are very minor. Would definitely recommend and hope to rent it again!

Monteagle is a gem

We've lived in Tn. for three decades and the go-to spot for cabins. However, just an hour away from Murfreesboro is a wonderful spot for nature and charming places to stay. We will definitely do this again, but the grand kids will be joing us next time!

Such a cute tiny house community!

The property was among many tiny houses with several communal amenities including playground, games, and fire pits. The periphery itself had lots of room outside, a slide, a fire pit, and grill. Such a cute tiny house with everything you could need!! Would absolutely stay again!

Small town stay

Had a two day stay for a show at The Caverns. About a 15-20 min drive from the venue. The tiny home was clean and accurately described on VRBO. Used the washer / dryer. Worked perfectly. Cute and quiet rental community on a lake. Tracy City is a one horse town with an old bakery and a grocery. One small complaint - float on the shower bounced from hot to cold while in use. Probably an easy fix. Would stay here again for sure!!

Cozy and quiet

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary at Heavensent tiny home. It’s obvious that the owners put a lot of effort in to making our stay so cozy and comfortable. They have thought of everything you would need and have gone beyond that! They even had a milk frothier which made my coffee drinking on the porch the best! The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Thank y’all for the perfect getaway! We loved it!!

Anniversary Getaway

Beautiful property in a fun community! We loved the town, the hiking, and the upscale campground feel. The host was very nice, the home was immaculate and beautiful! No complaints about the property at all, however We will probably choose a place next time that has at least two kayaks, or one with double, as we were not able to use just the one single since it was a couples trip and we don’t own our own. And maybe a bigger bed since we are tall people! I think it said Queen but feels like a double. Beautiful place and view!

Relaxing Atmosphere

We stayed at Heavensent for the 4th of July holiday/weekend. The house was very relaxing and it was nice to take a break there from all of the festivities in Sewanee. It is nicely decorated and had all of the basic amenities. The owner helped us resolve an issue via phone which we were thankful for. A towel hook by the shower next to the window would be useful and adding rubber pads to the bottom of the hand towel holder would be helpful as it slid and hit the mirror every time we used it. Thank you again for sharing your home with us!

We will be back!

We are active seniors 63&66 and loved our stay at Heavensent. The driveway is easy to get in and out of. Some driveways there are very sloped this one was great. We had bikes to unload and luggage. Bed definitely needed to be firmer and larger for sure. Looked and felt like a double bed. Definitely need a keurig coffee maker. These are the only two things we found that could be improved upon. Cabin was spotless. Very safe there and close to lots of things to do. Other small touches were wonderful and made a great impression for us. Has everything you need. Lots of little extra special things to make it feel like home. Overall we would definitely stay again. Hopefully the mattress will have been replaced by then.

Heavensent was super clean with all the accommodations you need for a wonderful weekend by beautiful lake. We loved hanging out by the porch and firepit. The neighborhood is quaint and close to restaurants and The University of the South. I highly recommend Heavensent Tiny Home!
