"there was a reservation for 4 people two adults two children upon arrival we were met by the managers later they saw our family and contacted the owner then they demanded an additional payment of 150 PLN from us for the fact that the children are not children And they are considered as adults although the age was indicated on the site children after that we turned around and left do not recommend this hotel to anyone because there are extra hidden charges"

"Very cute B&B. When we arrived it took a while to find the right door. Using Google translate on the doors, the sign said "Cage 1". We knocked and called until someone answered the door. Place looks new and clean just like the pictures. Breakfast has limited American options unfortunately which was unfortunate for kids. Dinner was delicious every night definitely worth it. Poronin is only a few miles from Zakopane but traffic was so bad it took 30 minutes every time. "

"The hotel is wonderfully located on the lake with beautiful views of Tatra mountains and the valley. The dinner menu and ambiance were exceptional. Staff was very professional and helpful"

"We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel looks amazing both inside and out, and we absolutely loved the design and atmosphere. The reception staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and our bags were taken to our room before we had even completed the check-in process, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of choices available each morning. However, we were a little disappointed with one young male staff member at breakfast. He seemed quite miserable and not very professional. When we asked about the toaster, he mumbled a response, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. We were also disappointed that, although we mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had travelled from the UK for the occasion, there was no acknowledgement from the hotel staff. Even a simple “Happy Anniversary” would have been appreciated. At other hotels, we have often received a card or a small complimentary drink, so this felt like a missed opportunity to make our stay feel more special. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The late spa opening hours were extremely convenient, as we spent our days exploring Zakopane and were still able to relax in the jacuzzi in the evenings. Overall, this is an amazing hotel with a relaxing atmosphere, and we would certainly recommend it."

"Our loft room had two huge pillars which really got in the way, if you get this type of room ask to change. Amenities were very good, nice pool, hot tub, saunas, gym etc. breakfast was very good, had dinner at the restaurant which has lots of awards but our dishes were hit and miss. Fish was terribly overcooked and for top dollar I expected much better. Staff were ok but not overly helpful. Linens are ok but not great. Location is very central and convenient."

Hotel Bania Thermal & Ski

"We visited Hotel Bania on a recommendation from a friend and it was utterly sensational. The hotel is comfortable, with a natural flow and guest journey. There are shared small kitchens on each floor which are so convenient for preparing a snack; it’s a microwave and sink but really useful to have available! The beds are comfortable, however we found the pillows to be quite soft. The hotel is quiet with great sleep quality. The water pressure is excellent and a nice shower space. WiFi is excellent with fast streaming available. There is currently construction taking place on the new wing at the front of the hotel; but asides from cranes viewable from the pools, it’s a necessary evil for their continued growth and expansion. Therma Bania is amazing. Swim up bars; various spaces and utterly gorgeous. It is really hard to get a lounger at weekends and I don’t know how they can manage it, but it’s quite a stressful experience when you just want to find somewhere to leave your stuff so you can get in the pool. The restaurant food was quality and tasty, however it would be good to see more options for vegans and vegetarians as this was very limited. The photos don’t do this hotel justice; I nearly booked another hotel in Zakopane as I thought the rooms look dated, they’re not, it’s just bad promotional material! We will certainly be returning and have already recommended to a number of friends."
