The most important detail to review is that this apartment is in the basement of a house currently being lived in by the host.The ad does not represent that.Therefore, the hot tub is on the deck of the house he and his family habitate and the pool is not private either, and was closed at 9pm.We didn’t use either pool or hot tub for the reasons of perceived lack of privacy and the timeliness of their availability. The house is nice and is surrounded by hilly land with beautiful woods, but you’re in the basement.The second notable thing is the phone number for the host is wrong and we were not able to communicate with him at check in time except by walking up and ringing a doorbell.We told him that he wasn’t answering our emails on arrival and his response was “I don’t sit around and check my emails all day”. (Although that is the same way we had always communicated up to that point.When we pointed out that we had been trying to call and showed him the number, he apologized and said he had a different number now.Several other things were disappointing as well. Broken ice machine all week. Broken grill all week. Not stocked with enough towels or toiletries.these are small things that become big when added to the other things.We are 3 friends of 30 plus years,so of course we had the best time visiting the area. We gave our trip 10/10, but this apartment was a disappointment.we asked the host on arrival for ideas of tourist attractions and he said “nothing really”.misleading ad
