Peaceful cabin in our private woods, close to bike trail, winery, and lakes.

This French country-style cabin is set amongst our private woods in Leelanau County. It is a place to relax and enjoy the quietness of the woods. This will be your home away from home, for sure.

From the moment you enter the driveway from the main road, it will take you back into the woods to your cabin. This cabin is so quaint when you open the door. It has a fully equipped kitchen. It has a screened-in porch to relax, enjoy a meal, drink, chill, and read a book in our swing chair. We also have complimentary local wine from Leelanau for all of our guests. Enjoy that glass of wine by sitting in our relaxing chairs on the patio by the fire table.

The cabin is conveniently located near many activities, restaurants, and beaches. The bike trail is approximately 1/2 mile from the cabin locations, with Traverse City and Suttons Bay nearby. The nearest local winery is a short 2-minute drive north, deeper into Leelanau Peninsula wine country.

Whether you desire comfortable, quiet solitude at the cabin or prefer exploring the unique area of Leelanau Country and surrounding counties, it is up to you.

We hope you will enjoy relaxing at our cabin, exploring, or doing whatever you have planned while in the area. For many years, we have had this dream of sharing the beauty of our property with others. We hope that it will become your favorite spot when visiting our area.

Perfect Northern Michigan getaway

The french country cabin was just as charming and quaint as described in the listing. Terry & Beth were excellent hosts as the cabin was very clean and stocked with wine and goodies upon arrival, as well as eggs from their personal chicken coop. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Close to downtown Traverse City, but away from all the hustle and bustle at night. Just a quick drive to Glen Arbor and up the road from the amazing Farm Club. We will absolutely be visiting again soon.

Everything was excellent!

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary trip, and it was absolutely perfect! We loved the privacy and the close as to the TART trail. The cabin is very cozy and well decorated, we also enjoyed all the amenities provided by the hosts!

Best of both worlds, location and privacy

This cottage is the perfect place to relax in private woods setting, while being close to everything. We enjoyed biking to the TART, which was super close. Everything from communication, to the property to the location was absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to stay again.

Our favorite little cabin in the woods

This cottage, and all the cottages on property are an absolute gem. We've stayed on property many times and always enjoy our time at the French Cottage. Beth & Terry are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond when hosting guests in their cottages. There are so many places to see and visit on the Leelanau peninsula that are close to the property. We look forward to coming back year after year!

This cottage in the woods was the perfect quiet retreat we wanted. They have thought of every amenity you could need and the house was spotless and cozy. We did not want to leave and we hope to come back someday!

Somewhere between a romantic B&B and a sweet cottage in the woods

The Country French Cabin is not only a very special, secluded, romantic cottage completely surrounded by woods, it is also among the very best rentals we have ever experienced! We look forward to returning another time when we can stay longer and enjoy spending more time relaxing at the cottage. High marks to our hosts who created such a perfect retreat and anticipated every need!

Perfect couple getaway

Second time staying with Terry and Beth. Cottage was well equipped for all your needs and so cozy and well thought out! Hosts are good communicators but give privacy as needed. I couldn’t find one thing I would improve on or change. We love it here!

Wine Country

Very clean, well stocked, peaceful and decorated very cozy. They thought of everything and the welcome treats of wine and chocolate and salsa was a very nice surprise. Plus fresh farm eggs in the fridge, delicious! There were even cozy his and her bathrobes to use! We will stay here again. One suggestion would be a sound bar to go with the tv since the living room is large. We definitely recommend and the hosts were great.

Another perfect getaway

Beth and Terry are the best hosts. This was our second visit to the property. First time was in the Cozy Cabin and this time was the French Country. Beth recommended we visit in the winter and it was a great idea. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The snowfall made it so peaceful and relaxing. Cannot wait to come back in the fall.

Anniversary tradition💕

We stay here every year for our anniversary! This was our first trip in July, as we normally stay in the fall. Still amazing! Can’t wait to come up for a winter get-away & snowshoe this beautiful property. Each time it gets better; a sweet anniversary card, wine, jam, fresh eggs. Thank you SO much!

Exceeded expectations!

A picture is worth a thousand words, but being there is better than a thousand pictures. Although the description and photos gave me a good idea what to expect, this lovely quiet cabin exceeded my expectations! It was secluded in a private wooded glen, artfully decorated, perfectly clean, and very well appointed. As such, it was one of the nicest properties in which I’ve had the privilege of staying in a couple of decades of renting, through VRBO. This is a great base for exploring the entire Leelanau peninsula!!

Beautiful property and location

This is our third time staying at one of the three cabins on the properties. They are all beautiful decor and clean and a great location to Traverse City and all the hiking and wineries in the area. Terry and Beth are such great hosts.

Beautiful private cabin in great location! Extremely clean and well stocked with cookware, spices, and anything else you need in kitchen. Owners were prompt to respond and have paid attention to many little details to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and chairs. Welcome gifts were also much appreciated! They truly go above and beyond and we hope to return. Thank you Terry and Beth!
